any other singles out there?!
Can't help you there, but I do remember that the Royal ships we have been on have had singles get togethers more than once during a cruise. There is usually one on the first night. Details for place and time are usually posted on a board near customer service and I think in the cruise planner also.

had lobster on 7 night cruise a few weeks ago, not on 5 day 2 years ago. The lobster was about 4 bites; it's not a big deal really,
Yup, it's only the tail.....BUT, in the MDR you can order as many as you like, so those 4 bites are just the beginning. Keep 'em coming!

@mom2mybugs...chocolate bar AND chocolate cake. Darn good thing sugar, fat and calories don't count on vacation!

@hsweat22 and @Hoski Look at the fifth post down on @Lovetocruise2002's live blog here from her March 2018 sailing. She gives a VERY DETAILED and excellent review on the guided tours. I'd think it may be a bit much for younger children, but it appears to be a great tour.

Tonight we wrapped it up with the late night show with Jim David. Funny guy. He had a hilarious idea for what to name the next Royal Caribbean ship...
Oh, good. @CGTLH's post sounded to me like it wasn't. Hey, I know my comedians!

We have an amazing grilled peaches recipe, with mascarpone cheese. So good. You grill the peaches, then marinate them in brandy or white wine, depending on your flavor preference. Soften the cheese, then stir in some vanilla. Top the peaches with the cheese. Yum!
Sounds great...I will probably try that but substitute goat cheese.

Mascarpone is a strange tasting cheese. There's a reason I haven't really had it in anything other than Tiramisu, where it's got the cocoa, espresso, and ladyfingers to blend with.
Ooooh, maybe that's the reason I never cared much for tiramisu (although it appears I may be the only one on the planet that doesn't).

I'll note that after giving my bartender a dollar or two wrapped around my Sea Pass card (having already bought the DBP), there was a little (well, maybe a moderate amount of) "overflow" of the jigger while the pour was going on.
Amazing what a small tip will do. A roving pool bartender on Adventure was delivering us a pinata colada in the cut out pineapple. I gave him $1 for each one. He thanked us by taking out a bottle of rum and probably poured 1/4 of the bottle into our 2 drinks. Strongest pina colada we ever had.

Looking for shore excursion recommendations for Labadee, Falmouth & Cozumel
See this live blog from @JohnK6404. He did this same itinerary in May and had a great time with some fun excursions.

It was slightly strange tasting.
Probably needed some tequila to wash it down with.

Awesome! I will do it! At least its a bunch of people at once
That's the right choice. You have fun. And without giving a second thought to what anyone else thinks. Plus, it's a bunch of people you'll most likely never see again!
Happy sailing!

They won't let you off of the ship if you still have a balance and no credit card tied to the account for them to charge it to.
Woohoo...do you get to keep the same cabin?
I always had a linked credit card, but I may have rethink that now.

Flash sale events should become a new norm.
Selfishly, I hate flash sales because I usually miss them by a few minutes and when I find that out I feel like ! Although I was lucky enough to get the drink package.

Does anyone have advice on how to take a day trip into New York City?
If you have a lot of energy, try the tour that @Lovetocruise2002 just did. From her pictures, they covered just about every important place from downtown to uptown. You can see great pictures about half way down page 5 of her live blog here. She said the tour company is Viator.

Hi, I'm aware that you can pre-purchase transfers to/from Miami Airport to the cruise terminal
Oh, also...are you talking about using Royal Caribbean's shuttle? We used them a couple of years ago in San Juan. Be aware that (if things didn't change) while you go on the bus, your luggage goes on a separate truck. On the return trip to the airport, the luggage didn't arrive until 45 minutes after we did. People with a tight flight schedule were VERY nervous and angry.

Hi, I'm aware that you can pre-purchase transfers to/from Miami Airport to the cruise terminal. Does anyone know how much this costs and whether it is cheaper than just getting a taxi. There will be 3 of us travelling. Thanks in advance.
Are you flying in day of cruise? Just to give you some idea of cost, we came the day before and stayed at the Hilton Blue Lagoon, about 20-30 minutes from port. They provided a free shuttle from the airport to the hotel. From there to the port we used their third party excursion company. It was a shared service on a big air conditioned bus and cost wa $13 per person. I am not sure how that compares to other prices, but we were very happy with the service.

Plus a wine with dinner, specialty coffee, fresh OJ in the morning......great deal....and way more time in the rest room!

For anyone curious about shows
Been watching comedian Jim David for 20 years. Haven't seen him in a while but he has always been hilarious. Should be great shows.
For those who have not sailed Anthem before, We Wiil Rock You is a must see--do not miss it. AND, when you think it's over and people start to leave, it is not over. Stay put or you will regret it.
Is lobster night still a thing?
