Here on the Oasis; Vaccinated-only venues allow maskless guests. You only need to wear a mask indoors in mixed areas, such as the Promenade and elevators. For instance, the casino is vaccinated-only. No masks. It’s also operating with normal capacity. Every seat at every gaming table and every slot machine is open. Pretty much elbow to elbow. So is sitting at the casino bar. However, the first two rows in the Royal Theater, the AquaTheater and Studio B are still blocked off for ‘Physical Distancing’. Even though the lower level of the theater is for vaccinated-only…and the other venues have different show times for vaccinated-only and for everyone.

Interestingly on my 2 mariner cruises the whole "signing for it" thing has been out the window regardless of whether you have the package or not.
They arent even looking at or asking for cards, just asking for room #'s and then coming back with drinks ... not sure if thats an official change or just random weirdness but I noticed it on the first cruise and the whole group commented on it last time. (We were a mix of package and not but they were doing it for all of the group).

The package has always been borderline financially for me, the beer only package they used to have made sense, the deluxe rarely does.
Making the Diamond drinks an all day thing means it will never make sense financially now but sometimes i do still do it for the convenience factor, depends on the group i am with and what I think we might end up doing.

Do you think the Airline unions would admit to an illegal work action? Is it just a coincidence that the Airlines that have a Dec 8 vaccine deadline because they are consider government contractors all of a sudden have a huge cancellation issue? It wasnt weather for Southwest because other airlines didnt experience it. 
Time will tell what is the true cause but to dismiss this off hand is not wise nor is it a given. I would be VERY concerned if I had an upcoming flight to make a Cruise and would be looking for other travel alternatives.

Logic really hasn't had a lot to do with any CDC action so this would seem perfectly reasonable.
I'm just hoping they don't ask to demonstrate how to flood the ship in an emergency in order to "wash away covid".

If the CSO is extended or not is irrelevant and this may be Royal's display to the CDC that they will comply with CDC recommendations even without the CSO being formally extended and/or CSO 2.0 being published.  
Clearly there is communication and conference calls occuring with the CDC.  There must be a CDC recommendation that if cruise lines want to ease vaccine requirements then they must space out guests on board.  This also imposes a built in capacity limit of ~50%.  Very sneaky CDC.
