  1. Yesterday I was out drinking some fab Charleston craft beer, when I met up with 2 ladies who work with Norwegian.

After the "I'm loyal to Royal" and then the frowns, I told them that I was totally happy with Royal and have no desire

to cruise any other line (of course, we all agreed on Carnival).   They told me that I was missing out and that NCL was

a great line and much cheaper than RC.

When I mentioned that my next cruise was in 19 weeks, aka 01 Aug, they both agreed that "that sailing will never happen".

They both suggested I re-book, regardless which line I re-up for.   I said "why don't y'all just let me go grab a big stick and

y'all can beat me to death?".   I really need this cruise.

One of them said that she would even offer me her "friends and family" discount on NCL, so I went over last night and

tried to peruse their sight.  It might as well have been another language, as I had no idea what I was doing.   All I know is

that I want to travel out of Port Canaveral, but there were only 5 cruises from there.

What do y'all think?  If you've been on Norwegian (Escape appears to be the only PC option), do you think it's a decent

alternative?   I'm not sure what kind of discount I'll get.   I don't mind trying, but it better be awfully enticing to make me

    not take a Royal ship.

Been looking and after a certain point Galveston is getting shafted on 7 night cruises. For 2023 the only 7 night destinations are Roatan, Costa Maya, and Cozumel. At least with Liberty you got to run Jamaica and Grand Cayman as one option. Right now it's looking like a step backwards worth a larger ship...

There aren't many going to Mexico/Honduras from Port Canaveral, either.   So frustrating, because Falmouth just isn't a great destination.

    Ahhhhhhhh...... ?

My favourite spot on the ship, and in 79 days I'll be checking into my room on Harmony - in cabin 14144, which is about 10 steps to that door that leads out to the Solarium (and the glass observation deck).  I'm so freaking excited.  I assume you'll have the same layout.

Check out this guy's video and you'll see what I mean:

I'm looking at the one cruise to Mexico/Honduras in the next two years from Port Canaveral; a 6 nighter on Harmony....can anyone tell me if there is a hallway access door on the starboard side like the one here on deck 14?   There isn't an open room anywhere near the port door, but a couple on the opposite hallway.

I feel like I've asked this before, but can't remember  ?

  4. The problem is going to be whether we're allowed to go into port and grab a taxi.  We've been to St Thomas twice

and both times just grabbed an open air like DDaley shows ^.  It's easy and the good ones will stop on the side of the road to show

you interesting things (like bay trees (just smell the spaghetti)).

    Jane, welcome back!

If it helps any we went to Disney November 28-December 7th

Disney is doing an excellent job with making you feel safe.

They are very strict on wearing your mask.

They are cleaning everything all the time, you see CM cleaning.

They stop the rides to clean them on a schedule.

They have sanitizer all over the place and hand washing stations too.

You do mobile ordering for counter service, loved it.  Was so organized and way less hectic!

We stayed onsite and used Disney buses, very organized and safe.

When we got back a week later I got COVID.  Only me, not husband/daughter/daughter's boyfriend.

After they did contact tracing, it was concluded I got it from work, go figure.

So, in other words, no different than a cruise ship.

It's so frustrating that these places are allowed to remain open but we aren't allowed to sail.
