The surveys are not anonymous either.  They know who answered the survey.

Absolutely true! We had a B2B on Voyager Nov 22' with a bad dining room experience many days the first week (resolved by the Maitre'd and he then checked in with us each evening). On day 3 of the second week he pulled me aside after dinner and asked me to please complete the survey from the previous week as he had not received mine, and before the end of the evening if at all possible. He said he was personally responsible for reviewing the dining surveys each week and used the scores to evaluate servers and kitchen performance. Each week the stations are assigned based on scores. The scores are also used to identify the servers that need "re training", demotion or silverware rolling.

  2. My wife and I were on the repo cruise from Boston 10/30 and stayed on B2B 11/6 for the first week out of PR. It was exactly as you described. Having sailed 4 weeks this year and never seen anything like it the other times.

Every night was a gamble. Our assigned table in the MDR was given away several times. The lines for the Windjammer were out the door to the point of not even worth trying. The staff new it was an issue and tried to help us out but it was like watching a Tsunami overtake the dining staff every meal.

Our cruise also had an extra "feeding station" set up on the pool deck every lunch, afternoon snack and dinner. For some reason there was a crazy run on Michelob Ultra as well. The ice cream machines couldn't freeze the mix fast enough.

Here's a photo of one night at ~8:30 we had cleared our own table to get a spot.

It was great as you said to island hop. I don't think I would do it again on this class out of PR.

  3. After 3 frustrating days of horrible internet on Voyager we were really hoping the coco cay network would be so much better. WRONG! It appears they have transitioned the island network to be a repeater network from the ship you are on. We are in port with Liberty (starlink active). I did a speed test next to a couple with surf & stream from Liberty. They are getting 35mbps down and 8 up. I am getting .5mbps down an .12 up with surf & stream on Voyager.

I spoke to the revenue manager from Liberty as he was passing by and he confirmed the transition at Coco Cay to a repeater network for guests. He said it was switched shortly after starlink was installed on island. The staff and island facilities have starlink but guests are strapped to the ship they are on and that ships internet capabilities.

We are now booked on Harmony of the Seas New Years eve sailing, does anyone knows if:

    A) Royal keeps christmas decoration for NYE cruise?ç

    B) Is there any kind of new year party? Or any kind of big event related to new year?

This is going to be our first time sailing for new year and would love to know whats going to happen haha! Thank you so much

Our Odyssey NYE Sailing 21/22 did indeed have the Christmas Décor still up. There were at least 3 parties on NYE in different parts of the ship. I have to imagine this would be fleetwide.

Anyone happen to have an email address to send to the customer service manager on Symphony?  A month has passed and we are seemingly not getting anywhere with a reimbursement for covid quarantine.  Last we are told is shore-side is waiting on word from the ship.  Marcel is the manager I dealt with onboard, I hope maybe he can get the ball rolling.

    So incredibly frustrating.

While not a specific answer to your question. It took about 8-9 weeks to get our Covid "adjustment".
