It says you mush purchase a tour though Royal if you wish to go ashore. Period. End. Have yet to see anything that says otherwise.

Families traveling with unvaccinated kids must purchase a local tour through Royal Caribbean if they wish to go ashore in ports of call. This applies to all ports of call except Perfect Day at CocoCay, Labadee and Port Canaveral, Florida. Vaccinated parents wishing to go ashore freely can visit our youth facilities onboard to learn about drop off program hours and availability, and reserve time for their child on the day they wish to go in port

The “bubble” tour is just a ticket off the ship to meet CDC requirements. It’s any Royal Caribbean excursion and you can freely roam or do your own tour once off. It’s not an actual bubble as you are mixed with thousands of other passengers for long periods of time, at least for disembarkation process and even worse on tender days.

Reading, a lost art!

We were on Liberty last week and it was a challenge! They could have stood to increase capacity for pools/hot tubs/elevators/etc to account for the huge increase in passenger capacity. Also, more show offerings would've been nice. She's my favorite ship, but they were definitely experiencing some "growing pains" over Thanksgiving!

The standard is what is required by the guest to return to his/her home country. PCR is required to return to Canada and is provided free to guests returning to Canada. As I mentioned, several threads describe this process in detail.

So today when we asked at guest services, we were told 3,000. In Miami, they said 3800. This is Symphony. 
 
I can say lines are minimal. Elevators are 6 and no one follows that. Pool capacities are not listed. There were pool chairs available on a sea day every time I looked (morning, midday, afternoon). 
Windjammer is open for dinner. 

A number of holiday cruises are closed since they extended the CSO.  These are popular cruises with above average bookings. 
It's a capacity thing because of CDC rules at the moment.  Nothing to worry about, don't read too much into it.  
Many NYE cruises are also closed.  Explorer has open cruises before and after the holidays.

There have been some complaints about the new touchless elevator buttons. Lots of floors being accidentally pressed.

I second the idea of more outward facing views. As much as I love all the things Royal ships have to offer inside, it is nice sometimes to just go and sit outside and enjoy the breeze and sea without the hubbub of the pool deck or being isolated on my balcony.
Also - an aquarium would be really cool!
I'm not sure what else I'd like that's not already on other ships or something of a guarantee (like slides, a royal promenade, a non-theater entertainment venue) but I'm excited for what mold they break next!

I loved those aquariums.  I wish they had not removed them.  I'm sure they were very labor-intensive to keep clean

Just for clarification on this one, CDC defines close contact as within 6ft of space for more than a cumulative of 15 minutes within 24 hours. Anything else would not be considered close contact.

We have a hot tub at home so I am hoping the process may work the same. Have it filled on Day 1, maintained at a certain temperature and test and treat the water daily. That way it will always be available. I will definitely bring this up with our genie in pre cruise communication and report back! 

On the ship no upgrade but it’s a beautiful day.  Maybe next time

If you need a connecting room, your TA (or yourself if you did not use a TA) should reach out to Royal for this type of assistance, there may be adjoining rooms available in another area of the ship and may not show up on the public site.  For interior rooms, i know there is a "connecting interior" type which change the pricing.  If you are worried about the strangers, i think the door is locked by Royal and you both have to request it to be unlocked?  We just stayed in one, but were sailing by ourselves and didn't even try to open the door.  Royal had moved us there a few weeks before our cruise

I agree with this (just got off Explorer!) and we have always done the refreshment package.  In the mornings, i would typically get my Americano to drink and a bottle of water to take off the ship.   I think as long as you are not abusing the system it would be fine.
