Two ships (seems it would be a Carnival ship and Grandeur) are being allowed to dock and disembark passengers and that's all.

It has been a crazy few days. Lots of back and forth between go and don’t go. Ultimately, a few things sealed the deal for us.
Never were we worried about the virus on the ship. I am still of the mindset that the ship is likely one of the cleanest places at the moment. Quarantine on the ship was also an afterthought, because how bad could it be in the ATS?
What really made us re-think over the last few days was the possibility of being further quarantined in Trenton (military base). That is where they are taking all the Canadians on the Princess ships. That does not sound like a great time.
Yesterday, Delta also waived change fees for all travel this month, and Royal revised their “Cruise with Confidence” policy in that we would get back our FCC that we redeemed for this sailing. So really, we would lose nothing by not going. It was beginning to get harder to justify going.
The ultimate deal breaker is that Plan B, was better than Plan A. This blog is officially, “To be continued...” in 166 days.
We are sad, but at the same, for the hockey people out there, we feel like we just won the Stanley Cup of cruising!

When one door closes, another one opens. ?

Notice that the line is refunding all direct expenses AND giving a 100% future cruise credit. This is why anyone considering a self-cancellation should wait until the latest possible date to pull the trigger. Royal Caribbean may not institute the same level of remuneration, but cancellations by the company may lead to better cost recovery.

Here is a copy of the information they received.  Some friends got off the plane in Miami this morning and just saw it then

Ya, its not letting it stop anyone. Although if someone sneezes everyone stares at them lol.

I would argue that they are doing this for public relations reasons.  If they thought it was a major concern they would just cancel the sailings like they did in China but they are not. Now it could reach that point but we are not there yet.

SnickerTail got a reaction from Neesa in How many passes are included with a Thrill Waterpark cabana?
I've only seen the 2+ option for the Chill Island and South Beach cabanas, not the waterpark or beach club (which makes sense, as that $50 is less than the entry fee).

Oh, I should note that you only book the cabana for one person - otherwise it will try to charge you for six cabanas.

From the description, you will go to the same classes (says to check compasses for times) - were they historically subject to a fee? This says it includes $25 in casino credit and two drink vouchers (I guess that's where they get the $45 value).

It does make sense. If they think they can move and refill X number of down-channel cabins (interior and whatnot) and they offered enough balconies opportunities they might not have needed to worry about moving you around. It could also have to do with the number of people in your cabin, your muster station, your dining time, etc. Who knows.

The only weird thing about this is that Junior Suites are more expensive than the Grand Suite. The Grand Suite is not free, it's just the basis for comparison for Expedia (so it's whatever price you clicked through on plus $0). If you started with Junior Suite, it would be -$395 to go to a Grand Suite. I do agree that it is strange, though - they must have hit some strange threshold where they want to get rid of the Grand Suite but not the Junior Suite.

Yes, you should definitely have parties from both rooms at Guest Services when you request key copies.

If I'm remembering right, on the Freedom class ships those interior promenade windows are bay-style, and do have a small seat-level space in the curve that you could sit on for a bit if you wanted to. Not a balcony by any stretch, but at least a chance to sit and enjoy the view instead of having to stand there the whole time.
Do make sure to close the curtain to that window when you are in a potentially... er... showy kind of state. Easy to see in from both the promenade floor and the rooms across from yours.

You probably want to pick one. The Beach Club is to relax and be a little less crowded (and get upgraded food), the water park for slides and activities. Trying to do both (IMO) would just result in not enjoying either fully.
