That was me, and if I recall correctly, it was @Ogilthorpe who helped me out with that, so I'll pay it forward.  ?  If you call 1-888-305-4626, they can expedite the availability of the reward OBC and put it right into your cruise planner.  I just contacted them last week with another redemption, and it was in my account within 15 minutes of hanging up the phone. ?

Our family would do it in a heartbeat, either no stops or private islands.  However, we do enjoy ports and wouldn't want to do it for every cruise we take.  I could enjoy a few of those until things get rolling again though.

Cruise to no where use to be a thing in the past. However it was determined that these sailing were in violation of the Immigration and Nationality Act due to a D-1 visa holder, the crew members, never reaching foreign soil. Heading into international waters did not satisfy the requirement. Now a stop at a private island would meet the requirements.
Should have also mentioned this only applies to ships sailing from US ports. Don't know of any restrictions when it comes to other countries.

We would be in favor of a Labadee / CocoCay only cruise.  We often skip the other ports or only get off for an hour or two (sometimes to shop or eat, if there's some local flavor we know we'll like).  Otherwise, there's so much to do on the ship that we will never get it all done on one cruise (ok, so we plan multiple cruises... and enjoy the ship when everyone else gets off).

Rebooked my Alaska cruise to next year and had a remainder that I wanted to use for a cruise out of Galveston in Sept.  Was told I can't use the remainder until after the cruise I used most of the FCC has happened.  ?

I got one in 1997 and bought a replacement in 2014.  They never ripped, snagged or failed on me.  It also serves as the IDEAL laundry bag once you're there.  Easy to spot on the carousel, too.  Lacks some mobility features of newer models. ?

Okay, maybe we CAN be friends. Medium rare is the way to go for these items. I suppose you would use overcooked bacon on your medium rare bacon cheeseburger, but I'll have to let that slide.
We'll have to agree to disagree on pork products (medium is the way to go - for anything from pork loin to bacon).

Nope. Filet is medium rare only. But filet is also super-lean and not an exercise in working the jaw muscles to death at that cook.
Same with hamburgers; medium-rare, thanks. My wife and MIL, on the other hand, are lifetime members of the “hockey puck” club. ?

Next you'll tell me you order your filet mignon "very well done" then send it back to be "cooked just a little bit more."

We can never be friends. Bacon is supposed to be soft and chewy!
Extra crispy is a fried chicken option.

Neesa great post, I learned a long time ago, if you get thrown lemons turn them into lemonade. Always try to turn the worst problem into a positive. Come out and tell people we have a problem and we are going to make you experience even better and then show them how you are going to improve their experience. Positive attitudes always help.

Although it is open aired as you say. Anyone who has waited in cue, shoulder to shoulder with strangers, for an hour or more for Space Mountain probably are at the same risk as any cruise.

for the industry, yes...however...selfishly, think of the half full ships to sail on and the deals the cruise lines will offer to get them back on board. Sign me up!

Regardless...not to minimize what's going on...everyone in my area seems to be losing their minds...you can't get toilet paper anywhere right now...I'm glad we buy bulk at Sams.

Cub reacted to Chadster in Do the Drink Packages Have an End of Cruise Statement?
I decided to get the Deluxe package on my upcoming cruise on Grandeur. The penny-pincher side of me figured out how many adult beverages I'd need a night to make it worth it (I also drink a lot of Coke during the day, as well as coffee now and again). We'll see how close I stay to that line...or how far I stumble over it. ?

tiny, I believe I can speak for all of us who have been reading this sad thread - your posts and insight are invaluable for those who have not had to live through such a devastating tragedy.  We all have comparable views and opinions on this, and I find most posts to be interesting.
You said "I'm through", but I hope that wasn't so.  Please continue to post and offer your thoughts.

Although I (and others, obviously) have lost many precious people in my life, I cannot comprehend what you've been through - you have my utmost sympathy for your loss and respect for the strength you show by pushing through this journey of life.
