Yes, we have paid for 3 cruises so far that way, I don’t like using my real card online or over the phone so I use pre-paids.

Everybody involved in this tragedy had a better chance of getting hit and killed by a car on their way to embarkation than being killed in a volcanic eruption. Any day could be our last. Live like it is and enjoy your life! 

The thing about this is - I totally would have picked this excursion if I were on that itinerary. Volcanoes are fascinating. I've been up Kilimanjaro twice. It's still active, and there are steam vents. We were repeatedly reassured that it was safe, there was risk involved, but we accepted it. And I would do it again. Yellowstone is amazing. It could blow anytime. It is a risk we accept for adventure. That ship you're on is more at risk of sinking than odds of a volcano eruption during the short period of time you're viewing it. It's a risk, they knew it when they went, but the odds were highly in the direction of safer rather than not, when it comes down to such a short time of exposure. I also cannot predict when a car will crash into mine, or the airplane I am travelling in will crash. But I accept the risk because I cannot control the things I cannot control, and I won't let the fear of the unknown deprive me experiences. 

I agree 1000% it is very sad and my hearts go out to the families of those affected but I would never let an uncontrollable risk jeopardize my experiences. My job will probably get me before any true life experience or vacation will and if something happens to me while on vacation it is what it is, I am living my life.

People take risks. On a RCCL stop in Costa Rica I hiked an active volcano. Walked the lava field, toasted marshmallows over not spots, watched boulders being tossed up inside the crater. It was exciting.
 
Was it risky? No doubt. So is driving to the grocery store.
 

This is literally monday morning quarterbacking what happened. To suggest anyone knew yesterday, or the week before or whenever that the volcano was going to blow today or that the hundreds of tours that took place there in the days, months and years prior were unsafe is silly.

Ship beside us in Nassau had a giant mouse running around.   I could see it well from across the pier it was that big.  

After reading everyone’s experiences we will give MEI a shot for our next booking, we are still fairly new with cruising but are hooked now. Have used bigger sites for the “perks” but There is no real relation ship or do I feel that they would do what I am reading what the benefits of booking with mei would be. Now we just have to wait for details and itinerary’s for Wonder of the seas to plan for 2021.

Our first cruise to Alaska was extremely disappointing (not on Royal) and it took 6 years before we did it again this May and it was amazing, our next one is in 5 days and then one next July in the Baltic(with another currently in negotiations with the wife), we absolutely love it and have been converted for sure. 

Personally cannot wait to see what itineraries it has, need to explore this part of the world more. 

Thanks for sharing, we did Spectrum from Dubai to Singapore in May and absolutely loved the ship, it has kicked off our new addition with cruising as we have booked two additional since we have gotten back(with more in consideration) and with Japan is one of our favourite places to visit so with it thrown in it was great reading your experience. 

On Grandeur last year for Halloween, there was a GI Joe that had a piece of cardboard, painted, in the shape of a gun..... there were no issues.  Oh, and for what it's worth, being on a cruise for Halloween is amazing ..... you will have the best time.

Don't blame Norweigan, blame the Chinese. Ruining cruises is just the beginning of this new sinister Communist plot. What's next? Raining on parades? They must be stopped.
