I agree.  Especially for platinum.  It  probably wont benefit you at all due to not being combinable with other offers.  When I hit Platinum i was excited as well however, I never saw any real discounts from it because Royal was always running a fake promotion like they always do.  I remember 1 cruise they wouldnt even give me my stock holder onboard credit due to specials I had received.  I feel like the only benefits from lower level C&A is discounts off of items like a Percentage off Spa procedures, discounts on zoom etc.....

Freedom is fairly large nearly  5,000 guest can seat sail on that ship at any given time at full capacity. 
Freedom is also a one of Royals most favorite ships there is a lot to do onboard.  I've personally sailed on Freedom numerous times and wouldn't hesitate at all to book a 7 night cruise on that ship. 

Daniel Johnsons was amazing.  We did the monkey sloth tour and then went snorkeling.  They offer to take you to the beach for the rest of the afternoon but we elected to go back to the ship.  Had a private driver for the afternoon and was a great time.  Highly recommend!

I've had luck just asking one of the staff in the Windjammer in the evenings,  they've always been willing to go to the back and grab me a couple.

As well as the drinks available free on board (water, fruit punch, lemonade, iced tea, eta, coffee etc.) you can also bring 12 cans of soft drink with you and we normally bring a couple of small bottles of coke after port visits.

I buy a cigar or 2 for my general manger every time I cruise. As a
thank you for carrying the load while I'm gone.
I bought him a box of ten of the DAS cigars. He tells me they are really good burn real even and last quite awhile.
He says he will be ordering some more from DAS.

Sometimes you can book the shuttle prior to your cruise.  Call whoever you booked with  I do recall having to use Air2sea to book a shuttle-and i had not booked my airfare through them-so maybe try them if you can’t get an answer from whoever you booked with 

We did a cruise tour once. I did not like the waiting around and we seemed rushed.
My in-laws enjoy bus trip vacations and have done a cruise tour twice. 
A couple examples of what I didn't like.
If we stopped  for a bathroom break you are waiting for 50-60 people and before our group was done another bus had came to add to the crowd.
When we went to Denali we went on the wilderness explorer trip. We had just a few minutes for a bathroom break before we had to leave on the explorer bus. Same situation when we came back from the trip. We did not even get a souvenir from Denali not enough time.
The nice thing was no driving, hotel rooms planned for you.   No worries.
I defiantly recommend spending more time in Alaska before or after cruise but personally I would rent a car and go at my own pace.

The longest one they offer if you're set on booking through RC. I would spend as much time on land as possible.
We did 10 days on land in 2018 (arranged by my wife with a lot of help from the 3rd party company, not RC) before taking Radiance southbound and the land portion had more highlights than the cruise.
Shorter answer... see as much of Denali as you can then add as much of anywhere else.

I'm going to be celebrating 11 months of recovery time while on The Wonder of the Seas on 7/20.  I know the meetings are self-led but does anyone know if the ships provide chips for the meeting for those that are celebrating anniversaries?

I miss the fruity soup appetizers that tasted like a smoothie. I also miss getting the dessert menu AFTER dinner was over. I like ordering later based on how full I am. I miss the teen club cruise compass. It seems like there used to end more late night entertainment. I used to be up until midnight seeing a comedian or late night activity and now I’m content to be asleep by 9:30 knowing I’m not missing anything. The only thing I stayed up late for (besides waiting for my child to come back from teen club) throughout my entire 10 night cruise a few weeks ago was the Quest. 

Savory Bites

Last month on the Odyssey we ask the waiter about the Savory bites and pumpkin seed rolls and they were on our table every night after that.  

Midnight and/or midnight chocolate buffet (with ice sculptures).  Not that I care about chocolate, but the spread was visually impressive.
