While I appreciate your views, I've seen just as many say Sorrentos is horrible but other food is great.

This is the problem with food opinions, people have different tastes. I think the hotdogs and el loco fresh are average at best and some of the worst food on the ships yet this is the only thing you liked.
I really like a lot of the food in most other places. If my wife cooked up most of the meals in the MDR I wouldn't have to cook every night.

Where is the rip off exactly?

Not reputable cruise blogs, just someone trying to overdramatise the situation to get hits. Very rarely happens and even when it does most times people get a call in advance offering compensation to swap out.

No it's not that bad, unfortunately the nature of human behaviour states if something is bad even a little bit I should tell the world. One review thousands read it and everyone says ooo the MDR iss horrible now.
Satisfied people don't feel the need for the attention.

So my wife works in analytics for a car  rental company, mainly dealing with customer reviews and the like and has always said that if there are 100 reviews 80% as a minimum will be negative. Because it only takes 1 small thing to set certain people off and they will complain while the majority who are satisfied don't feel the need to complain and don't do a review. 
I decided to do a test on a current cruise group I'm in (ovation Transpacific - was going to be aboard but work got in the way so have decided to go the other way in April - still have 2 others to look forward to in the meantime - Ovation to NZ and Brilliance to South Pacific)
 
I just put a simple question saying not on this cruise but was curious on the food situation on board as have heard mixed reviews

Havent looked at it in more detail with regards to age, nationality or cruise experience which I believe will all play a part.

It's always a guess for me here in Australia working out when it starts.

DBP 35% off on mine but still more than when it was 35% off a couple of months ago.
 
Refresh 35% for the kids the only thing I bought. Was hoping for a bigger discount on the 3 night dining.

The big question is, do we think this is it or are there still things to add.
