Example of what was wrong: noticing mold on veggies displayed  at cafe promenade, mentioning it to a white shirt staff and he didn't act promptly or seems to mind...
eating a seafood burger at MDR lunch and chewing the shrimp tails...
To lose confidence in what is served and then doubting each meals

I was on Adventure in May 2022, little 4 night to Halifax.  The crew were amazing, the food was fantastic.  Loved every show.
The casino was tight (space wise and money wise😩) and it was smokey.  My dining room was deck 3 and it was not smokey, nor was the promenade. 

I’m on Adventure at this moment, 9 night and I’ve noticed how “NOT smokey” the casino is.  It’s not really crowded in there either  it’s still tight (both the tables/money and the space) and the casino host said the casino was busier on the Bermuda portion of Adventure sailings.  Perhaps it’s the itinerary that has more, or less, smokers .

With the exception of going in the Schooner Bar for trivia and music, we don’t do those things either.  We are 100% non-drinkers, but we’ve never felt out of place when participating in trivia or listening to live music while in the Schooner Bar (or any other venue).  We not gamblers, so we don’t go in the casino  
We’ve never been on Allure, but here is a partial list of things we’ve enjoyed doing on the ships we’ve been on (from Vision up to Oasis but no Quantum Class):
People watching  Playing Scrabble on the Promenade, in the Centrum, or in the Solarium  Playing cards as above Watching various game shows around the ship Watching Karaoke  Reading in the Solarium  Reading outside on deck Watching the ocean go by Napping  Meeting people and talking…sometimes for hours Eating and trying things we’d never have at home Wandering around ports areas by ourselves (rather than on an excursion) Playing ping pong Playing mini-golf Watching movies (on ships that have pool deck screen) Watching pool deck activities (ie. Belly Flop contest, etc) Silent Disco (Honestly, I never expected to enjoy this, but I do) Going up to the Viking Crown Lounge and watching….everything (On ships that have one) Watching sunrises and sunsets from up on deck Early morning coffee together  Booking another cruise at NextCruise  
 
 
 

I agree. It’s about time for overnights. I could see adding some nighttime venues (bars, clubs, casino, possibly a fire show). This would be perfection. I actually wonder why they haven’t done this yet. 

I was on the same sailing. Two days at CocoCay was not a problem at all in my opinion.

That sounds like a really tough time. I do hope you and your wife recovered well.
 
Like Matt, I would recommend Travel insurance for ANY future cruise you take, even if you opt to not do Royal again. Most lines (if not all) will not cover the costs of care and transport in events like these. (In fact, I'd like to direct your attention to this line in your cruise contract which you would have agreed to when getting your Set Sail Pass: "c. Payment for Medical or Personal Care Services. Passenger shall pay for all medical care or other personal services requested or required, whether onboard or ashore,  including the cost of any emergency medical care or transportation incurred by Carrier and any costs associated with the provision of medical services as provided in the CLIA Passenger Bill of Rights. If Passenger is unable to pay and the Carrier pays for such expenses, then Passenger shall reimburse Carrier for those expenses."
 
 
Food poisoning is difficult to prove (I say this as one who has had it before) and if only your party was affected it can be easily assumed that you caught something else that was not directly related to Royal's food. This may be why Royal is not immediately offering compensation.

Agreed. The problem (for me anyway) is balancing trips to the snack shack for chicken and funnel cake with trips to Chill Grill for the taco bar and ice cream sandwiches (taking the choc chip cookies to the ice cream machine).
We plan on a light and/or late dinner on Cococay days. 🤣

Our first time cruising on Allure several years ago,  I loved the donuts and made a point of going down to the Boardwalk most mornings to eat one or two.  Last year's trip on Allure, I tried one once.  Not the same.

The cruise ships do not have Donuts.  They are round and look like donuts but they are not donuts.  One bite and they get thrown away.  It is kind of bad bread.  😞

It may be just me, but……that’s my biggest complaint about every cruise I take;
Regardless of how many days….it’s just too darn short!😜

Forget the suite perks.  I just don't know how we'll ever survive without two bathrooms in our cabin again.  

Oh this scared me. I'm on Adventure in October and thought, Oh No, not another switch.  But thankfully doesn't apply my sailing.
