We were supposed to be on Oasis this upcoming January, but we have two littles (6 and 5) and decided with the uncertainty to L&S out to January 2022, but we shifted to Harmony as it has an itinerary sailing 1/23/22 that goes to BOTH Labadee and CocoCay, and the day we're at CocoCay will be our daughter's birthday! As an aside, I would welcome any and all advice for Falmouth, Jamaica, with the two littles. Thanks!

For us, me especially, the last one we did was Harmony in late January and coming down from Maine, we appreciated the warmth and humidity! That first time stepping onto the ship, hearing the loud music, feeling the warmth on your face, knowing you don't have to shovel for 7 days, and then look for a bartender...it's a wonderful feeling! ? And on that particular sailing our daughter's birthday was our day in St. Maarten, so swimming and enjoying the ocean and beach with her, in that setting, was something I'll never forget. Too many memories to pick a best! Can't wait to make many more!

Well I would not say they are a waste of time. There are other contaminants that need to be cleaned off surfaces that have been prevalent for much longer than Covid-19. Noro, E.Coli, Salmonella and other bacteria have been around for a lot longer and the crews have done a wonderful job of keeping those at bay for years due to the cleaning  that goes on all the time that i see while on board.
Just make sure to do your due diligence  clean your surfaces, don't cough on folks, and please please wash your hands. It's just that simple.

Of course, Black Friday/Cyber Monday is coming up and historically there have been good sales around that time, but who knows what will happen this year.  Last year’s holiday sales were a dud.

This will probably sound pedestrian compared to the cool adventures already posted, but the first thing that popped into my head was, on our last cruise on Lady O in 11/18, after dinner my wife and I would just go straight into Central Park, enjoy a beverage, and listen to the fantastic piano/violin duo play classical music.  Now, I like classical, but am nowhere near an aficionado, but it was so serene and relaxing with the warm breeze blowing and very few people walking around.

Hoping to have repeat performances when we sail on Harmony in Nov.

A curious question; I wonder how far off from the new recommended protocols (excluding masks and the "super" Covid-19 specific) that they will have to adhere to, were their cleaning methods that have been in place? It always appeared to me they did an above and beyond job as it was, so I wonder if there was a way they could petition for their current methods to meet the protocols? I wonder if that would help alleviate some implementation, and maybe make it a little more "normal" as we knew it (and back to it quicker?!), so it just makes me wonder where they will have appeared to be deficient, if at all, by these new cleaning guidelines, and how much will be above and beyond that they will need to add in? And how much will these above and beyond measures make any real difference to what they had been doing all along? If that makes sense...

Although there are a lot of things on the MDR menu I enjoy, one of the things I like most about it is the chance to try something I don't eat at home. I always try something I haven't or wouldn't normally eat at home. Whether it is an appetizer, salad or entrée. Being that the food is already paid for, I don't feel like it's a waste of money to try something I might not like.

I'm sure the parents thought, it's all included right? And you know he couldn't and shouldn't have eaten it all! I blame it on the mentality that some people have, "if it's free, then it's for me and give me three!" I really can't stand that attitude. And don't get me started on the people in line for free samples at Costco! (pre-Covid of course.)

And then leaving their (mostly) empty Windjammer takeout plates in the elevator, from which I'm almost positive they impeded egress by pushing on the instant the door opened (as was noted earlier by @FManke )

The other things that bothers me in this NRD conversation is why should that be a factor when Royal is cancelling the cruise?
They cancelled the cruise.  I didn't.
I still want to sail Allure even if it isn't AMPED on that date.  I'd even fly to Florida to do it.  Change home ports, just let me sail.  Nope. Royal won't let me.
So given this is all on Royal, why should I have to book refundable?
It seems the motivation and reasoning to book refundable is to protect yourself when Royal is being completely unreasonable when they decide to move me to another ship and downgrade me to a vastly inferior cabin compared to what I booked.  Hmmm.
I respectfully disagree that the "solution" to this issue would have been booking refundable.  A reasonable company wouldn't have put me in the place they did in this scenario.
A guest should be able to book a non-refundable fare and maintain an expectation of being treated fairly when the company chooses to make a drastic and unprecedented change to the booking.
Allure is going somewhere on my date.  They aren't scuttling the ship.  Someone will sail in my cabin on that date.  Why can't it be me?
