  1. It will be interesting to see pricing for this ship. With so much 'resort' included with your cruise fare you have to believe it will be significantly higher than  standard cruise fare. Most waterparks are in the $50-$100 per person per day for admission (or well over $100 per day at Coco Cay) and I feel that Royals plan is to incorperate this into the fare.

I love the idea of the ecalators between lower floors, you have to believe this will drastically reduce elevator log jams after shows and events.

so excited to visit both labadee and perfect day this cruise will be great! this will be my first time on a oasis class ship can not wait to see the size! I did here that the cats show sucks anyone had an experience with this show?

Cats does suck lol. They have shortened it though from a 2:45 show with an intermission to a straight 90 minute show. Fortunately, the other shows and entertainment on Oasis more than make up for Cats.

I am also excited to visit both Labadee and Coco Cay on the same cruise as. We were supposed to do that on Symphony in January before it was cancelled 24 hours prior to sailing. Ironically this sailing originally had neither of these stops on the itinerary.

Thanks … from your user name, I suspect we are flying out of the same airport. I can’t believe how much the cost of flights to Miami have gone up since our last flights to Florida in 2028 and 2019.

Yeah the prices have gone crazy. The dates we are looking at for January 2023 are more than double of what we normally pay. I could go on 2 more cruises for the price of round trip airfare 😢

After our previous cruise out of Miami, we had a flight late in the evening so didn’t go straight to the airport after disembarking. This time, we have the choice of two flights. The earlier flight has the advantage of a much easier connecting airport for the second leg of the journey home. It leaves at 11:45 am on a Saturday in March. If we self disembark early and head straight to the airport, is it likely we will be ok? I generally see flights recommended from noon on, and this is only slightly earlier, but is it too tight?

The other option is later, and connects through a much busier airport which is notoriously unpleasant to connect through.

You will be fine with a 11:45 flight. Just take your own luggage off to remove one more potential problem.

I'm looking at flights from Miami in January and the difference between leaving befor 8:30AM or after 12pm is $500 plus per person 😞

We will probably spend the night in Miami and fly out early the following morning to save a pile of money. I really envy folks who live within driving distance of ports.

Here that Canadians!!??  That goes for your TOONIE!  Nobody wants it. 😉 kidding.  We love you Canada!  We just don't love your Football.  Hockey, YES!  Football, NO!

Are you kidding me? The larger field? The larger ball? The waggle? The Rouge? 🤣🤣

Besides if it wasn't for the CFL where would all those Big 10 players not good enough for the NFL end up?

Sorry I posted in other category but haven't received any responses and hope you don't mind it....

Perhaps this the new way, but I have never had all shore excursions sold out prior to sailing!  I was advised of an email address that we can use to check on cancellations, but tell me there's hope when you board of potential (more) opportunities to book.

Check out Viator.com. Excursions are generally cheaper and much less crowded.

Ashley mentioned the Bahamas being cold in March.   That was my experience as well, which is why I'd like to go to the Southern Caribbean.   That narrows it down to two ships and 2 itineraries.   I can use the travel agent to pick one.

‘Cold’ is a relative term. I live in Vancouver Canada. I would not describe the Bahamas as ‘cold’ at any point in the year 🤷‍♂️

Just don't forget that there are 2 airports in Houston.  I'm guessing you'll arrive at IAH. that's 90 minutes from the cruise port, so allow plenty of time.

Yeah but Houston is where the direct flights are being offered. Are there hotels near the cruise port?

  9. I've never heard the promenade described as 'dark'. The promenade on Oasis class is much larger than on Odyssey and are actually the only class to have natural light on the promenade. I don't think you could go wrong with any of those 3 ships but personally would go with an Oasis class.

I think you might be surprised that there aren't that many lines after Day 1 as people are generally dispersed well

  10. I will definately be looking at options out of Galveston as there are now daily direct flights between Vancouver and Houston (4.5 hours) for less than half the cost of indirect flights to Miami (11+ hours travel time). If my Oasis cruise in January wasn't already paid in full I would be looking to switch to Allure.

  11. I have sailed on her twice. Absolutely loved the first time, not so much the second time. In fairness the second time was her first sailing back post shut down. If you like to relax she is a good ship. If you like things to do I wouldn't recomend it.

My wife and I were just talking about our experiences sailing during the pandemic.

It really was the best of times and the worst of times……from getting OBC for prices drops after final payment to our sailing on Adventure with 480ish guests to having to wear masks everywhere and the stress of testing.

My wife and I had the same discussion last week on Navigator. It was our first cruise back at full capacity. While we enjoyed the uncrowded ships it was also really nice being back on a ship that had some 'life'. I was a little worried about crowds but was quickly reminded how cruise ships have a way of dispersing crowds. Other than pool decks on sea days we never felt 'crowded', lines were non existant after day 1 and we had a fantastic cruise. I'll take the 'old' experience than the half full ship with masks and testing requirements anyday.

Yesterday I called to make final payment on a December cruise and confirmed (for the 3rd time !!) that we would only have to do a self-administered home test for both segments of our B2B and that agent first told me that the tests had to be proctored

Does this mean you are finally going to be sailing again?!?!
