Avoiding a ship should be avoided.

That would be an incredible undertaking. One I doubt I'll live long enough to attempt.

Having done Nassau a few times and having been on Anthem....You have made the right decision.

This will be our 5th time there and just want to enjoy the ship at this point. Last time we did a little bit of shopping and then took a taxi to Cabbage beach which was nice and beautiful, but we have never been on Anthem and are looking forward to enjoying the best that it has to offer!

I too would object. I like to have a nice surf n' turf dinner sometimes when it's not on the menu.

And then we should do the same if we aren't already.

On Anthem in August we did not utilize any drink package. When we got the itemized bill at the end ,all my cocktails/beers at MDR dinners obviously appeared but any sodas/tea/juice my wife had did not show up. I didn't ask any questions. Especially when lots of people claim they "Nickle and dime you". Probably just good luck and the fact that we make a lovely couple.

The article has some gaps in it. It also quotes the doctor as saying "we are kicking you off the ship" in quotes. No doctor is going to say that, not those words anyways.
The article is written from their perspective which is biased towards their perspective. Perhaps it is 100% accurate, or perhaps it suits their (and Walker's) purpose.
"Walkers purpose". Let me ask you this. Does this look like the offices of a serious professional litigator or the facade of a Miami comedy club?

And if they had not been put ashore and the condition became horribly more serious while onboard, guess whose fault they would say that was.

Hello everyone.
My wife and I have been on five cruises so far and they have all been Disney Cruises. We are Disney annual passholders and frequent visitors. We are thinking about a RCCL cruise in 2020 on Adventure of the Seas from Ft. Lauderdale to Southern Caribbean. I know the other cruise lines do things a bit differently than Disney and at first glance it would seem they are about half the price. But I'm sure there are some hidden charges to to make up some of that difference.
I'm looking forward to getting some good information from these boards. Thanks in advance.

You have come to the right place Colonel. As you can see I was in the same boat. (pun)

Thanks @Fuzzywuzzy I'll add you to the list of my car's volunteer babysitters
Sure, but they're probably family members and by now you know that they can't be trusted. It's strangers on the internet that you can count on to come to the rescue when the need arises.

If it's a Tesla I'll take care of it while you're gone and pick you up when you get back. No charge. (pun)

And since it is in June/July, Santa will not be home and probably be in the Caribbean.

I buy the Christmas ornament on each ship. I've never seen it discounted. I just buy it early in the cruise.
I'm married to one of you all.

The Anthem did an all t-shirts for 10 dollars sale starting at 10:00 one day. There was already a long line waiting for them to open at 9:30 and the stuff went fast.

Just kidding! Best of luck.

Looks like the overwhelming advice is to get the passport. And I agree.

Ice to go ???

The Coke Freestyle machines will dispense ice to anybody in any container. You dont need the special cup. Get one of the coin buckets from the casino, wash it out and it makes a nice little ice bucket. One of the crew chuckled when he saw me doing this. They dont tell you this.
