I will second the Cascades route on Amtrak!
It's about a 15 minute Uber/Lyft from the port in Vancouver to the train station or if you can manage your luggage, there's the Translink in Vancouver that will move you from the port to the train station.
You are at the mercy of the current single train schedule, though. But the views are fantastic.

We have never had a problem with this.  Always gotten the requested cabana we asked for.
We were told by several different Genies that they don't run a tram directly from the ship to the Beach Club.  They do have a pier tram, but you have to transfer to the island tram at the end of the pier.  They wouldn't put us at the front of the line for the pier tram either.
We had one Genie experience where they DID get us a tram that ran all the way out to the Beach Club directly from the ship. It was our first experience with Star Class where we were visiting the Beach Club.  It was the first cruise we took after the restart.
All our other Star Class experiences after that we were told it wouldn't be possible.  Those Genies did offer to escort us off the ship and bypass the lines getting off the ship but once we were on the pier we were on our own.
They usually will be able to do this. Just keep in mind that only Suite guests will have access to the Coastal Kitchen. Any guests that don't have the unlimited drink and dining packages will have to pay out of pocket when they dine in the restaurant.  As for ordering food to the room, they won't bat an eye at putting in a large order for you.  I wouldn't really approach that as "order enough for 12 people" but you should be specific in which items you want and what quantity of each.
They used to have these for the suite guests. They weren't comprehensive like the All Access tour that they sell in the Cruise Planner, but they would do a bridge tour and a behind the stage entertainment tour.  I haven't seen those complimentary tours for suite guests come back since the restart.
If you want something along the lines of the All Access tour, you do need to pay for the one in the Cruise Planner. Not sure they can arrange a private one just for you even if you do pay just because the times they schedule it are limited.
You can order individual drinks to the room, even several drinks, but the rule is no bottles of wine or liquor.  We even ordered many more drinks than guests in the room to host a viewing party on the balcony for one of the events.
I do hope you have a better experience this next time.  I will say that we did Star Class a few times prior to the pandemic, but our absolute best experience ever was the first cruise we had after the startup.  Obviously pre-pandemic it was satisfactory enough for us to try it again, but that first one post-pandemic really stood out and made us understand why everyone raved so much about Star Class.
We've done it again a few more times and the one we did this January was probably the worst one because of all the shortages and other issues because of the Omicron variant rearing its head.

We had cabana 25 the last time we did it and enjoyed it.  If you get closer to South Beach, the view forward is more obstructed by the over the water cabanas than if you are in the cabanas closer to the Beach Club.

On our last group cruise one of the group members went to Guest Services and asked about upgrading and they told him they would put him on a list. They did upgrade him and he moved into a new cabin the second day of the cruise.  So it does happen and it is possible. No harm in asking.

Yes, but that may not be automatic.  You would have to call C&A and link the two together as a relationship.

Each individual in the cabin will get the discounts based on their C&A status.  The only thing that doesn't get duplicated sometimes is the crystal blocks at the 140 and subsequent 70 point milestones.

The Key has generally been getting an email before the cruise stating they can arrive by 11:30 and board with priority.  After that they need to stick to their boarding times, but should get priority within their boarding time.  When I've sailed, there's always been a Key line present and they'd take anyone in that line that was eligible whenever they showed.

In theory they should hold it until the end of the second leg. I think that's the official ruling on it as well.
It doesn't happen like that in practice, both in purchasing the bottle on the ship or bringing it back from a port.  If you purchase the bottle on the ship on the last night of the cruise, a lot of the times they just let you take it with you as opposed to delivering it to the stateroom for departure.

They haven't reopened the one on Harmony yet. I've done a couple on other Royal ships (Mariner and Oasis) and they were both awesome and completely worth the $19.99/person.

A grand suite on Liberty won't come with free internet; that's only on Oasis and Quantum class ships. Your winning bid will get you access to the Suite Lounge and Concierge with a complimentary drinks happy hour and free room service, but not internet.

All of it has to be carried on. It is only 12 bottles/cans of water/soda and 2 bottles of wine per cabin...it will all fit in a carry on wheeled suitcase. If you're worried about dragging it around until the cabins are open, that's usually between 1-2pm. You can always just plan to arrive later and be able to go straight to the room to drop it off.
  24. Thanks

Yep. So if you're buying a cheaper drink and want to save your voucher for something pricier, make sure you tell them you DON'T want to use a Diamond voucher on that purchase.
There are also a couple discounts you get as Diamond that you could use..there's a 50% off beer/wine I think? There should be a sheet of all the discounts in your cabin. You have to ask before you use any of those.

Are you looking to do the combined cruise tour with Royal or DIY the land part?
Either way, I highly recommend you do the land part first. That way once you hit the cruise you get to relax and not be packing up luggage again every day!
Remember if you're starting in Fairbanks, you have to make your way to either Vancouver or Seward to start your one way cruise from there.
