Not due to anything Jolly Ogre does......There are many other reasons why like fear mongering and bad data that is much larger contributing factors to the widespread fear and regulatory situation we are in. His point is valid when he says that he does not want to go on a vacation with a mask on. It would suck the fun out of my vacation as well. He never said he would be going on on without it, just that he would forgo. Thus, he could not be causing any problems to extend into 2022....unless it is from lack of vacation spending from him and like-minded souls.
Everyone's on board, or no one goes on board. That's what it's gonna take.

Absolutely not!!
I wear a mask all day everyday...I am not going to wear one on vacation!!
"Alexa, why won't we be cruising until 2022?"

I somewhat agree, but they didn't like one of the four they ordered?
Honestly, yeah, our last majesty cruise (Cuba canceled) had some food where we pretty much just moved it around the plate. Went to the late night Windjammer spot that had that awesome corned beef. So that was about 3 apps missed, and 2 entrees.

Maybe they would have been better off if there was a Taco Bell on board? Not everybody can appreciate good food.
There's always a chance the food wasn't great. The free dining on RCL can be super hit or miss.

What is that supposed to mean? How can you sell a virtual cruise?
When you're losing $300 million a month, you do crazy things

If this is true, it will be interesting to see when she leaves the fleet, since you can still book a cruise on her through Dec 2021.
In the fine print, it says the cruise will be virtual

The worst (and last) meal we ever had in a MDR was the Thanksgiving Turkey/ham on NAV about 5 years ago. It was completely inedible. We have not eaten a meal in a MDR since.
Dan also has a very bad lamb shank experience a few years ago. We were eating in the Coastal Kitchen (Allure, I’m pretty sure) and b/c the lamb shank is Dan’s very favorite, he ordered it. We had even told the Genie to notify the CK that we would be ordering it so that it wasn’t a big surprise. What they brought was full of gristle and fat. He didn’t eat any of it. Frankly, it’s the first and only time he had lamb shank that wasn’t perfect. Maybe they were just p’ed off at having to bring it up grow the MDR. Who knows.
Mine was also on the Allure, there needs to be an investigation

I haven't had many bad items, but I had a lamb shank in the MDR, and I swear that every ounce of fat on that lambs body was relegated to that single shank.

having read this thread that is less than a day old, and digesting some of the opinions expressed as well as observing some of the actions in my community, I can easily see why we in the USA have the highest infection rate in the world.
Which is to bad because we definitely won't be returning to cruising until that rate is much lower and somewhat under control. I so want to cruise, but I want to do it safely with very low risk.

Some people are all about their rights, and to hell with their responsibilities. Disgraceful attitude.
The best part is, these people are stepping onto foreign vessels and going to countries where being American doesn't make you special

Well...here's this...sorry if anyone takes issue with my mistrust of governments and health authorities...I understand...no ill will...
Some of you may watch Don's Family Vacations on YT he can be a little entertaining, but is pretty infomrative...if you claim that this is isolated, I will have @CruisinForABruisin's reaction to my comment...
I dont trust the health officials, here's a shitty YouTuber i trust!

I see people are concerned about thick cuts of cheese and copious amounts of butter, but nobody is talking about all the calories consumed from the deluxe beverage package. HMM?
I think my 10+ whiskey on the rocks per day is still only about half the caloric intake of the French onion, thank you very much

If your Nov casino comp cruise gets cancelled, you can call Club Royale and see if they will allow you to move it. We had an August comp cruise cancelled, and we were able to move it to Feb 21. They totally price protected it...just like a L&S but not a year in advance...just 6 months in advance. I was very surprised and happy that they let us move it. They weren’t doing that for previous casino comps lost due to the cruise suspensions. Hopefully they will continue to allow suspended casino comps to be moved.
PS....I hope you don’t have to find out. We have 2 casino comps in Nov, too.
Thanks!

Received our Casino offer yesterday and saw the feature with the itineraries listed and love it. The wife was thrilled to finally see some offers appear and decided to take the 5/2 out of Galveston. Now the fingers are crossed for sailings to restart.
Is that list available to see anywhere else? Our casino royale is 11/7, so next on the chopping block. I'd like to have some sort of idea of which cruises I may be able to change to. I dont have any current offers available on the clubroyaleoffers site.

I believe that is a much, much smaller cruise ship in the news than that number.....Most Home Depots easily have hundreds of people in them daily....
Yeah, it was a smaller ship, and it was a terrible idea, now imagine an Oasis class ship running into the same problem

Have we closed the Home Depots and everything else due to someone working there ever testing positive? Or a customer?
Just wondering......
Are we dropping off 6500 people off at once at each of those home depots? Just wondering

What does the CDC has to do with any of this????
Besides which, get real, whatever policy decisions, protocols, and any containment measures various countries and health authorities mandate is done in response to a serious global pandemic. The French government is in the drivers’s seat regarding what will happen with the Paul Gauguin, and others will be watching.
Nothing in this case, but it's the circle jerk going around on the other threads. This is a perfect example of why we can't start back up
-
A quote from a different thread:
Bora Bora, which had remained COVID-free up to now, had all passengers disembark for the day, before the results of the follow-up test came back. Extensive contact tracing will be undertaken there as well as in Tahiti, where the passenger spent a couple of days before boarding.
And this is why the CDC is being strict, the cruise industry could've just screwed over Bora Bora

Port Canaveral projects slow return to sailing in 2021 with 50% cruise ship capacity

As the article states, theyre only planning on allowing 4 total ships there. I'd imagine that RCL will get a slot, now the question is, which ship?
