Hopewell Rocks is pretty amazing...highest tides in the world?!...BUT, to really appreciate it you need to be there for a low and high tide.....so depending on your schedule not sure if that's possible. AND it would be over a 2hr drive each way.......
Reversing Falls would be the closest and wouldn't take more than a couple hrs to check out the skywalk and enjoy a ride in the water.
St. martin would be my recommendation... give you a good taste of the east coast scenery as well as some tides and rocks and beaches.....I would prob recommend that based on schedule!

That's exactly what I was thinking!  Great minds think a like!  So nice to find someone who shares my passion for food and photography!  And there are so many here on the forums - YEA!
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE taking food pictures and we always show up early (whenever we eat out) to take pictures before the food is touched, and also to avoid taking pictures of people.  I'm a huge advocate of protecting people's privacy, and I always blur them out if I can't avoid them in shots.
We may have to go to WJ first before our planned trip to to Park Cafe this time around ?
Thanks for the tip and reminder!!! ?

Not sure if anyone is still interested (I just joined these forums today), here is what I found from a very recent cruise of Harmony.  Please note they can change at any time:
    Day 1:  Grill
    Day 2:  Crepes
    Day 3:  Indian
    Day 4:  Caribbean
    Day 5:  Mexican
    Day 6:  Mixed Grill/Crepes
    Day 7:  Mongolian
    Hope this helps.  Cheers!

I noticed that the currently listed last 2 sailings of Enchantment will be the first 2 weeks of April 2021 out of San Juan.  Does this mean there may be an Enchantment repositioning cruise from San Juan to Baltimore in Spring 2021?

@MattCasey We were thinking of doing the 2.5 hour North End pizza walking tour through Little Italy (3 slices from 3 different pizza restaurants plus historical sites).  Do you think this would be a good way to spend our time?  We will be there on Saturday (10/26) and the tour starts at 11AM.

Also, we are looking to go to lunch mid-afternoon to sample the best meatballs in Boston.  Any idea where that would be?
    Thanks in Advance...
And lastly, we will be picking up some of these Italian Macaroons from Modern Pastry...

We went here.. and to the place across the street - wish I remembered the name - but they filled the pastries while you were there so they  were not soggy when we got them.  BUT.. the plan was to bring them to the ship - hmmm...... they didnt make it! ?  I ate the last ones in the Lyft on the way back to the ship.  So my add to this - buy more than you think you need if taking back to the ship!

I hope at the very least they add the bedroom wall to the Grand Suite 1 bedrooms like they have on Harmony and Symphony.  I hate how both sides have to share a tv on a wall between the 2 areas that’s only separated by a curtain on Oasis and Allure.  Then you have to leave the curtain partially open and both side have to watch the one tv ..... fist pic is O and A ..... second pic is H and S setup for GS1 to show what I mean.

Boston, I have been there twice with my son, once as a port form Anthem and the other on an overnight 6th grade school field trip.
The port day was better. We went to see the USS Constitution https://www.nps.gov/bost/learn/historyculture/ussconst.htm Caleb loves this type of historic thing. It was an adventure in public transportation. We took a taxi there, arrived at opening, went to the museum and into the ships at the site. It's on the OTHER side of town..  We water taxi'd back to the Boston Aquarium area, met an old friend who lives in Boston, and went to the children's museum with her 3 year old. It was a good day; August, not to hot, not too cold.
On the school field trip, on our own we went to the Aquarium, had lunch at the Boston Sail Loft (it was very good), walked the Freedom Trail, toured Paul Revere's house, went to Quincy Market, then ate as a group at the Hard Rock Cafe. Day 2, we went as a group to the Museum of Science, ate lunch there (awful lunch.. neat museum), then went on a Duck Boat Tour https://bostonducktours.com/  It was a very different perspective of Boston!
Halifax: We opted to take a taxi ($5.00 CAD) up to the Citadel, toured that, then wandered downhill to the Boardwalk, and went to Tim Horton's!! (It's better in Canada than the US), enjoyed a snack of coffee and donuts and cocoa ( AND free WIFI ), then wandered back to the ship along the boardwalk. We stopped at the Maritime Museum (more historic boats for Caleb)..
St. John: We left the boys in Adventure Ocean.... My husband and I walked from the pier to the left, along the waterfront all the way to the reversing rapids and back. It was concrete or pavement the entire way. It was a nice walk, and we watched harbor seals, which I hear is an uncommon sight (we were lucky).
Ahh.. Bar Harbor.  Acadia National Park is NOT flat. We rented bikes from Acadia Bike Rentals. We took the bike shuttle into the park, then proceeded to ride around a lake. Eagle Lake?  (not sure)My youngest's bike would not shift gears for him, I had to fiddle with it to get it into the lowest gear, and we left it in that gear. So I have a lovely family photo of the 4 of us BEFORE the bike ride. But not one AFTER. There were tears. There was frustration. We walked. fter all this, I would love to do it again, with my own bike and breakdown gear. Alone.
Then we received a full refund for Josh's bike rental. MORAL: if you ever rent a bike, put it on the stand in the shop, and try all gears and the brakes. We ate at the gloriously fun tourist trap Route 66 Restaurant, then entire family was back into happy cruising mode.

Portland: We just walked around the port and shopped. It seems there is a port on each trip where we are wiped out and need a day "off". Portland is a port town, I do want to give it a second chance. Perhaps whale watching?
Have a great New England trip. It is by far, my favorite cruise ever. We went in late August, the temperatures were mild, the seas calm. That is remarkable out of Bayonne.

Another interesting point about The Key on my sailing on Symphony on 11/2...I purchased it originally at $19.99 and later cancelled it to use the money for more specialty dining...when I looked afterwards, it was showing as sold out. Now, today, it is for sale again at $29.99...it had hit a high of $34.99.
I wonder if they added capacity for it or if people are cancelling it leading up to the sailing.
With the prospect of Chops/Jamie's embarkation day lunch being in in the MDR, it isn't interesting to me any longer. I wonder if it's the same for others.

I mean, I totally can. Ryan and I laugh about this whenever we go to Labadee now. "HEY, WANNA TRY THE ZIP LINE AGAIN?"
SO... second cruise with my at this point soon-to-be in laws. It had already been kind of a comedy of errors, and now we had our first visit to Labadee and it was raining pretty much all day. We had a 10 am zip line time, and until probably 3 in the afternoon we alternated between shopping around and checking back to see if we could get on the zip line. Eventually, there was a break in the rain and we were able to get going. We completed the practice zip line no problem.
Finally, we make the long steep drive to the top of the zip line. It's HIGH. Full of nerves, I quickly raise my hand when asked who wants to go first, because if kept standing there it would keep getting worse. Ryan and I get strapped in, getting ready to leave the rest of our family behind at the top.
We get let go and start our decent. For a couple seconds, it's amazing and gorgeous. And then we realize the rain picked up again, and we're getting pelted with sharp little bits of cold rain. And then the WIND picks up. We feel ourselves getting blown sideways, and slowly coming to a stop. All five of us stop very far from the ending platform... in a rain storm with wind and huge waves beneath us. We were later told by our family that the operators were laughing at us before the rest of the crowd made the scary descent back down the muddy hill and in to the beach area.
Meanwhile, we're still dangling over the water soaking in the rain. Eventually, the tour operators form a plan and they run in to the choppy water (getting pulled under continuously) to throw me a rope and instructing us to keep throwing the end of the rope to the right until everyone is holding it. After we're all holding it, they take the other line back up to the beach and start pulling us to the end platform.
The very first words from anyone's mouth once our feet touched the ground - "You're getting a full refund!" ... ?
So yeah. That was my first visit to Labadee.

Mrs. RoyalMoyal reacted to Lovetocruise2002 in When to shop for flights?
When cruising out of Miami, we almost always fly from DTW to FLL.  I have only ever flown into MIA once.  Almost always, it is cheaper even after you factor in the cost of travel to Miami.  I use Hopper as some have mentioned above.  I always like what @AshleyDillo suggested.  I "usually" see a bit of a dip around the 90 or 60 day mark.  Holidays and March Break are an anomaly.  I grab those right away.  I don't wait because prices do nothing but rise for those flights.

I love the back of the ship!  Yes there are some poles and metal in the way of a clear view out, but the view of the water churning behind the ship - very few get to see that!  Corners are the best as the balconies are huge!  Deck 6 is not the best since you are looking out at the blue area with the logo BUT still you can look out and see the ocean.  This is a view from deck 7 aft corner room

Actually, those aft cabins are highly prized.  I think you scored a winner !  Yes, there is superstructure that blocks some of the views but in most cases (all, if I am not mistaken), the balconies on those aft rooms are giant.  I think you may have a stumbled onto a real bonus.

Twagster, thank you photos and info, I think I am on the same trip as Laura in December. Its has been many years since I've been to Labadee.. I tendered! I will wear socks with tevas (the fashion police are groaning), and go for this walk as well. Boots are not needed!
I will bring water shoes, that has been recommended by several people.

Mrs. RoyalMoyal reacted to twangster in Hiking in Labadee?
I frequently use the nature trails around Labadee.  They provide the best views of the ship and Atlantic.  I wouldn't call it hiking though, they aren't that long and are easy compared to some real hiking I've done.  They are more like walking paths but I guess if someone has mobility challenges they could become strenuous.
Your map is a little out of date.  The area #14 isn't used anymore.
They start very close to base area 200' from the the pier.  On your map this is right after starting on the path after #1.  It's a slight uphill climb but not hard at all if you like to walk.

Soon enough there is a viewing area looking back towards the ship.

    Freedom on a different visit.

    This continues around the corner.

The ship is behind you at this point

This area is supposed to be related to spa services but I've never actually seen people here getting a massage.

At this point you are approaching the landing zone for the zip line but there is a path that continues around the landing zone.
Sometimes they close the path to the point.

Dragon's Lookout Point or #6 on your map.

There are some more paths around but this is the primary one to explore.  The other green paths on the map are really sidewalks around Labadee.  The entire area is very walkable and often I'll never use the trams but prefer to walk.
There is another path "through the woods" for lack of a better phrase but these don't really go anywhere exciting and have no views to speak of.  There are some old buildings found off them that aren't used anymore.  This is the red path labeled strenuous on your map.  You can walk it just to do it.
I'll be going 3 times in December from Oasis.  Are you on Ken's big cruise?

I've lived that nightmare, myself.  We had a friendly ongoing week-long feud with another couple over a table that overlooked the railing.  It was always a joke to see which of us would get there first and get "the" table.  We all became fast friends but it was ridiculous that they could not manage to secure a table at the SAME TIME EVERY NIGHT.  This is one (among many others) reason why we quit going to the MDR altogether.  The final deal was the ungodly atrocious Thanksgiving meal we had on NAV 2 Thanksgivings ago.  That was the last meal we ever ate in a MDR and we will never go back.

I'm also going on Dec 8th! I snagged a "no solo supplement special", via Sharla at MEI travel.  I also booked the Key (again), VOOM, extra ice time, seating at shows, swift carry on luggage delivery and breakfast on debarkation day... YOLO!
I am looking forward to trying the barbecue restaurant, going to the dive and ice shows, and skipping the main dining room. I must have dinner in Old San Juan! I'll try all the slides, because they are there.. but just once. Same with the zip-line!  It will be my first time on Oasis class, and my first time solo. I usually cruise jam-packed-full-ship on holiday sailings with my husband and sons.
The Diamond Lounge being moved to deck 4... meh. But it's on Deck 4 on Anthem, and I like that lounge, it has pool tables nearby (for my teenage boys to be occupied during happy hour), and it's an easy walk to the dining rooms..  So I promise to hold my opinion of it's new placement until AFTER the experience, instead of dreading something beforehand! I see myself ordering room service coffee in the morning though, instead of trekking to the Diamond Lounge for it.
I'm looking forward to viewing @Matt 's compass from his Thanksgiving Trip! It's great to see what they will do on Day 1 before I board, and if they have "night riding" on the flowrider.  Some items are posted on the app already like daily flowrider times; but not the open skating times.

Sadly, if you check Royal's website it shows cabins there (click on "May 3rd, 2020 - April 25th, 2021", although I thought the DD was supposed to be done earlier). . I think we can all agree that is probably the least interesting thing they could have put there. Not sure what type as I can't figure out what purple is.
