Not sure if this qualifies as it's not something you pack...

As suggested frequently here on the blog... If you purchase the DBP, always ask for bottled water when you order drinks and keep them in your stateroom cooler so you always have cool, filtered water either for drinking or rinsing in your stateroom throughout the cruise.

We also take a few gallon zip lock bags and get ice from our room Steward.  Fill the gallon bag up with ice and put it in our fridge...Big help in keeping our water cold in the fridge.

if he were to have set dining at 6/8 then he could remove them but if he wanted my time he was told he could not remove the gratuities.

Wonder if the agent your friend was taking to knew the correct answer.  We've asked the same question (not this question, but another) to several agents and got different answers...We have also seen many people comment...If your not happy with the response from a RCCL Agent...Call back for a different answer.

Onboard pricing is currently  $63.00 - $89.00/per day for 2019-2020 sailings.

I pulled that directly from Royal's website.  I have not seen my drink package offering go past $60.  The lowest was $54/day.  Highest has been $59/day.

I am wondering, just to get an idea for future sailings, will the price I am seeing now be roughly similar to what I should expect when my other cruises start opening for cruise planner purchases?  I know each sailing is priced separate, just wondering ballpark.

Royal has to make up for their error of $18 per day a while back...Which they honored.  We got lucky and snagged it for our upcoming 5 Apr Harmony of the Seas cruise

  4. When I took the class on the Allure, they were very strict on hygiene and you had to eat all your Sushi while there.  They did not allow us to take it with us or even to allow to share it with our class mates...I did see several people leaving Sushi behind.  They claimed they were worried about people getting sick.  Only class participants were allowed to be in the area.

    Hi KristiZ!

thanks! I saw those and noticed that activities varied based on the date for example not all sailings had the Quest activity at night.

I’m designing an itinerary for a group trip and want to include some of the ship activities but I want to make sure I’m accurate.

    hopw someone can assist

The quest is only held on one night of the cruise and usually towards the end of the cruise.

  6. Its a great class.  You get to make several types of sushi and not just the traditional sushi rolls. We made Nigiri (A topping, usually fish, served on top of sushi rice), Temaki (Sushi that has been hand-rolled into a cone shape), both Maki and Uramaki which are both rolls...Difference is the seaweed on the inside or on the outside. It was a lot of sushi and filled us up.  They wouldn't let anyone in our group take their creations with them...Said health reasons.

  7. We always attend the Quest but we know better than to volunteer to lead a group.  Our son on his honeymoon cruise got picked because of his size. The quest was for the biggest guy and he is 6'4" and just under 300 lbs...Former Division 1 Collage football offensive lineman.  He ended up dressed in women's under garments and wearing lipstick...We tried to warn him.  Each quest is always different and it all depends on the Cruise Director...Some CD's will ask for more risky items where others might tend to keep it to a more Mature rating but all of them are worth the attendance.

The F4 has been gone for about 25 yrs+, the AF boneyarded the F4 by 1993 or so.

I hate to disagree with you but quite a few of the F4's aircraft were turned into Drones and used as targets until just a few years ago...Flown out of  Holloman AFB in New Mexico and Tyndall AFB Florida till they were replaced by F-16 Drones.

  9. Years ago I taught a friend how to play Craps on a cruise and he did very well.  We were at Nassau and he wanted to try his luck at he called a "real casino" and I tried to talk him out of it but failed.  He was back an hour later broke and playing on the ships craps table...Trying to change his luck.  At that time...Both casinos were open at the same time.
