  1. Past hour
  2. We sailed Radiance and Brilliance last year and both have dart boards. If you like playing darts make sure you bring your own because the ones that the bar supplies are tattered at best, typically missing flights. We had a great time on both cruises playing darts with other passengers. We wish more ships had this option. It's a lot cheaper form of entertainment as opposed to self leveling pool tables.
  3. I'm gonna need more positive thoughts from you and @WAAAYTOOO, OK? It will all be fine.
  4. Today
  5. Someone said Aruba was the proposal king of the Caribbean. Well this happened after our day in Curaçao. We had dinner at 150 Central Park. So I’d say this cruise was a home run
  6. Excellent Cruise experience with Royal. Everything was perfect from check in, service, food, excursion and check out. Really enjoyed the Cruise.
  7. 1. If Royal loyalty merges with Celebrity, this will be a one time thing so there's no previous data to go on. 2. Even if it were just Royal tweaking something to C&A perks, I wouldn't rely on the past to predict the future. Ya never know with Royal. Changes can easily be made with little advanced notice. I'm in the exact same situation as @FionaMG and will be taking my first D+ cruise in just under 5 weeks (and my 2nd not long after) so I'm also hoping nothing is diminished on that front.
  8. Seems simple enough to enforce a 5 and older rule for the main pools. Any child younger than 5 has to stay in the splash/kiddie pool area. Most children are bladder and potty trained by 4 so restricting younger than 5 should mostly fix the issue. It should be good with most people since almost every public play/rides have height, weight or age restrictions. Then its up to Royal to ensure there is some kind of wet play area for those under 5.
  9. In the past when the program changed what was the effective date? Was it immediate or did they give you a 6-9 month period. Only reason asking is I am diamond and lacking 12 points to Diamond Plus. I will have those points after a cruise in November. Thanks!
  10. Thanks for sharing your insights on excursions, dining, and prices! It's always great to hear about fellow travelers' experiences and tips. I noticed you mentioned the Si Como No Resort, and I've got to say, it sounds like a fantastic destination! As for excursions, they're the spice of any trip, aren't they? Whether it's exploring historic sites, diving into local culture, or simply soaking up the sun, there's something for everyone. And dining? Well, that's where the magic happens! Trying out local cuisine is like taking a journey through the flavors of a region.
  11. Did you check your booking confirmation and/or your travel documents? It may be in a small area on that. If you can’t find it in your documents call back. I’m assuming you booked direct with Royal-if you did not ask your travel agent. another option would be to look for a Facebook group for your sailing and ask in there if anyone is going the land portion snd if they received info.
  12. Whatever they decide, it will be "to enhance our cruise experience". Having just made D+ I really hope they don't do anything drastic until after I've been able to do at least one cruise at that level.
  13. I am not a long time poster, but I am certainly a long-time cruiser! I did not join any travel forums until the past few years when my work schedule became less crazy. My father was in the Navy in WW II, and his love of water meant that our whole family cruised together starting more than 50 years ago! Those were the days--one dinner time, one restaurant, no televisions, no casinos, bunk beds,--it was the ship, entertainment, and ports. I guess it helped that our first cruise went from Venice all the way to the Black Sea for multiple weeks. So, EVERYONE in our extended families after marriage and children has been on a cruise multiple times, many different lines. In fact, I can name at least three or four lines we cruised on that no longer exist! But, we always liked the full-service cruises with all the bells and whistles. This past year brother and I both did different Viking cruises (me-river, him-ocean). Okay, the river cruise boats are so small you can see the whole boat in about an hour! Yes, it is kind of fun and relaxing, but extremely cozy, and it is a week without any kind of fun evening activities (many people just sit at the bar and drink). We took a walking tour every day, as every day is a port. Brother said he missed the non-stop evening activities on Viking Ocean, he missed the art auctions(?!), and also the dress-up night with photographers, although they enjoyed the tranquility. Again, a different port every day. The adults-only did not really affect us, although I am not sure that I would want to cruise on a ship that was more than 50% children. I have to say that depending on my travel mood or interest at certain years, different types of cruises will appeal to me at different times, including destination, cruise line, itinerary, price, etc. Just to be clear, we do many other different types of trips--all inclusive resorts, driving trips, tours, etc., etc., but I 100% agree that the serenity of the ocean and the glorious sunsets, the night sky full of stars, and all the great ship activities make us totally loyal to the cruise experience. I like RC just because of the big ships and all the crazy activities (husband ALWAYS attempts the rock-climbing wall!), and it is fun to hear what is happening currently on this forum. Last Summer we cruised the Med on Princess, this Summer back in the Med on Cunard, next Spring on RC in the Caribbean, and in-between several other types of travel and adventures (ski trips, tours). We usually do an A-I resort every few years or so--we have great prices and great connections here on the East coast. The truth is, I love to travel, and I love to cruise, but remember, variety is the spice of life, so don't be afraid to try different travel experiences whenever you need a change! The ocean will always be waiting for you to return. Bon voyage!
  14. Hello, We have booked for this cruise. Travelling from Brisbane with a group of 8 so far. Counting the days. Never been out this far. Been on 3 other Royal cruises, this will be the longest.
  15. As others have said, the sky is the limit on scenes, backdrops, or impromptu sittings/settings. You are the customer, tell them what you want. Every time I've taken a photo home, I am given the choice of prints or digital. If you have purchased a digital package, they are there to make money. If you want it printed, it will be printed. It may or may not be an upcharge, depending on the purchase.
  16. It's a combination of both. Typically when boarding or in the evenings before dinner, you can get a photo done in front of a backdrop. At ports they offer them outside in front of the ship, they also go around to dinner tables. Sometimes they will offer them in front of a staircase, sail away party, on the promenade, or other places around ship. Prints or digital depends on the package you select, read the details.
  17. So wait the photos for the photo packages are all in front of fake backdrops? The way they make it sound on the website is that they are all over the ship and it even says "ride" photos (I assuming zipline or the abyss) Can anyone let me know so I can cancel my photo package if I need to? Also I still can't get an answer as to whether it is just digital or if I can have any printed (on the ship) instead of digitally.
  18. Rhapsody out of Puerto Rico, southern Caribbean port intensive cruise on November 10-17
  19. If you had two prime certs, you could combine them for a higher category, if you don't want to waste on a shorty.
  20. Having been on Oasis last year and plenty of other Oasis class ships with 150CP: I can say there is no six-course menu. There is Chef's table with multiple courses and wine pairings. But 150CP has a pretty paired down menu and in some instances, they don't allow you to order more than one entree.
  21. Call whoever you booked your sailing through. Call your travel agent if you booked through them, or Royal Caribbean directly, if you booked directly through them.
  22. Every time we cruise and I see the photo prices in like "what a F-ing racket". I mean talk about profit.
  23. If I want to change my MDR dining from my way dining to a set time, how do I go about that?
  24. $100K and you still have to drag around a Freestyle cup for the soda machines.
