  1. Lol. I have a 9 year old and I am already having panic attacks about her going to middle school and high school. Trying to get as many cruises in with her before she turns 13 and I have to pay for her as an adult fare. This cruise we got as part of the " kids sail free" promo. But yes.... I am soooo ready for this. My only concern will be the new construction near the parking terminal. I wonder how it will impact the drive up there.
  2. I agree. Oasis class ships offer more activities compared to Voyager class ships. However, in my own opinion, Adventure is more akin to what cruising use to be. By this I mean, enjoying the pools while at sea, having a great meal, and of course, enjoying the ports the ship visits. I think this will lead to a more laid back environment, which I am really looking forward to..... and to have a few Gin and Tonics.
  3. OHHHHH YEAH!!!!! thank you @OCSC Mike This was helpful. The pricing is not too bad at $56 a day per person. As soon as I fully commit to the sailing, I will probably book this. We are going for a 2 bedroom GS with another couple so this package will be worth it.
  4. Hello. So I just had my MEI travel agent place a hold on a 12 night transatlantic cruise on Allure for Feb of 2025. A while ago the one and only @Matt had a video on the YouTube channel showing how you could find the price of the deluxe beverage package based upon the ship and sail date. This was done by modifying the URL string using a code for the ship and the saildate. I was wondering if someone had this link or knew how to figure this out. I would like to see what the pricing would be on this before I shell out for this cruise.
  5. Im still in an aft junior suite, but would love to win a 2BD GS. I'm hoping that one opens up. But I also bid on the owners suite as well. Fingers crossed. Hope to meet you on this cruise @smokeybandit @nessachelle
  6. My MEI travel agent said there were a couple of Owner Suites available still. I am hoping that someone in a Grandsuite wins one of those bids and opens up their grand suite to people like me... The family has an aft facing junior suite, but a nice 2 bedroom grand suite would be AMAZING since those also are aft-facing.
  7. I also got mine at 60 days. Praying to the royalup Gods now that my bid is accepted...but will be happy nonetheless.
  8. They are looking to have it open in late 2026. Brightline gives green light to Cocoa stop for its Orlando-to-Miami passenger rail service
  9. I recall departing out of Miami back in December that getting from I-95 to I-395 ( the causeway to the port entrance) was PACKED at around 9:30- 10:00 am due to construction and the typical Miami rush hour congestion. While I would not recommend driving from PC to Miami the same day as your departure, it can be done with a great deal of patience. 4 hours travel time down I-95 from PC to Miami is about right. But like @TessFromFlorida had mentioned, Brightline will be opening up a station in Coco Beach in the near future. When this happens I would say ABSOLUTELY, 100% you can depart your ship in the morning in PC, Uber or Lyft over to the Brighline station and be in the Miami station within ~ 2.3 to 3 hours. Then from there a rideshare program over to the Miami terminal. Good luck.
  10. I was curious as to what Silversea included in their fares. I had picked a sailing from New York to Florida and was floored when I saw the pricing for some of their suites. I guess you could call it the top suite was running around $40,000 per person for the 15 night voyage..... Yes, that is not a typo. While I did "splurge" on the Royal Loft Suite on Oasis of the Seas for my wife and I's 50th birthday, I spent about a third of that $80,000 price tag for 8 nights. Maybe one day when I win the MegaMillions lotto I will book a SilverSea voyage. Until then, I am loyal to Royal.
  11. The air mattress I have is super nice. I can easily deflate it and store it in the closet with no problem. Afterall, these junior suite cabins have a pretty large walking closet. It would not be an issue with stateroom attendant. I would make sure it was put away before we left the cabin for the day.
  12. Having been on Wonder with one of these beds, that is what the photo looks like. I was on Freedom in December and we had a grandsuite that had a single fold out sofa bed. I suspect that Adventure will have a similar bed. But it is all good. A day on a cruise ship vacation beats a week at work and I will have 8 nights on this sailing. Hope to see @smokeybandit around.
