I normally start this sooner and on a different tone. But staying a few nights prior in Tampa got in my way (in a good way).

Booked itinerary is as follows: Tampa, Sea day, Costa Maya, Cozumel, Sea day, finally back in Tampa.

However I'm not sure if my new friend Gordon will change those plans.

For the record yes, I'm slacking. Still at the hotel debating when to leave for the port.

Update: Expected departure is a little bit after 11pm. Heard things right, going to Cozumel first with expected arrival at 11:30 with departure time adjusted to equal out hours.

 

Added: Sums up things well, from James Van Fleet.

Update @RoyalCaribbean #MajestyoftheSeas, plan is to leave by Midnight, that will give us plenty of room to drop south behind Tropical Storm #Gordon. Expecting it becomes a Hurricane tracking towards New Orleans/Mobile. We will flip Itinerary but still make all Ports of Call. https://t.co/eO9Esv6OFy

On thing I have forgotten about... Windjammer Recon! Bit of a challenge and didn't get the full selection. For the record the theme for the night was "American".

Over head shot, note at dinner tonight only this section was open. The one that is more forward was closed off.

Action station was "Mongolian Grill". Carvery item was "Striploin of Beef"

Just wanted to report in for the morning. When I finally went to sleep light night I was feel some motion. Then again being so use to the Oasis class ships I'm sure the motion felt was nothing abnormal.

Estimated arrival to Cozumel is 12p, clocks are setback tonight. Will be departing at 10p.

Sorry for leaving everyone hanging. Been having a relaxing day and poking fun at a few random observations.

First the key question I'm sure everyone is wondering about, the weather. To sum it up, perfect. No rain, very little cloud cover, and temperatures have been warm but not roasting. The ocean does have wave activity but overall motion has been minimal.

Arrival into Cozumel is planned for 12pm ship time (time change of an hour roll back will occur at 3am Wednesday), ship per compass the ship will be cleared at 12:30 pm. Time for all guests to be back on board is 9:30pm. The original time in Cozumel would have been 7am to 6pm.

 

Heading back to the room tonight some creatures had escaped their rooms and were chillin in the elevator lobby/stairwell.

For anyone wondering, the speciality pizza of the day was "Meat Lovers".

On the subject of the Diamond/Suite event. Last night first thing it was very crowded, tonight (just before 6pm) very few people.

Observations about Windjammer tonight, very very empty. Tonight was formal night so I'm sure that explains it.

I've been wanting to try Beef Wellington for a while, but I don't know if I'd want my first experience with it to be one that's been sitting for a while at a carving station under a heat lamp. I'll freely admit the only times I've seen it is when I was binge-watching Master Chef, but itseems to me that's something you really are supposed to have the second it's done cooking, or very close to it, while the filet is still piping hot and juicy and the wrapping hasn't had any chance to collect condensation or go soggy.

OMG --- You watch MasterChef too.   I think Cesar is going to win it, although, I was rooting for Shanika.

Made it to Cozumel early, started docking at 9am with clearance at 9:30am (ship/local time). Will be the only ship at the pier. Would have had an Oasis class (I think) with us if we docked tomorrow.

New addition at the pier since last time I was here, Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. Think last time in Cozumel was in January.
