Ampurp85 Posted March 21 Report Posted March 21 @GatorCruiser I feel the same about Freedom/Voyager class being as small as I can go. I love how the Freedom class CL have a deck you sit out on and view the sports court and ocean. I keep getting Jewel and Explorer options for the casino but those classes are too small for me to enjoy. OCSC Mike 1 Quote

An interesting tidbit is the crown lounge has a better coffee machine than the suite lounge. Much newer and more modern. Ampurp85 1 Quote
smokeybandit Posted March 21 Report Posted March 21 I've heard the newer machines have been much less reliable across the fleet. Old ones aren't as flashy but break down less. Quote

Not since pricing has become almost equal (or cheaper; for the times I can sail) to QN/OA/IC class. It's QN class and up for me these days, unless I come across a steal on FR class. GatorCruiser Posted March 22 Author Report Posted March 22 Last day is a sea day. Watching flowrider. Some very good “surfers” during this session. What’s amazing is that I grew up surfing (albeit in south Florida) and I couldn’t stand up when I tried back in 2021 on odyssey. Have lost desire to try anymore. I’ll just boogie board it and pull lower back muscles at this stage. Ampurp85 and InmyElement 1 1 Quote
TarheelCruiser Posted March 22 Report Posted March 22 First for me. Went to the “new” non-smoking casino (previously Vintages) to cash out OBC. Played a couple of time and actually won a few hundred. GatorCruiser Posted March 23 Author Report Posted March 23 Self assist off ship, thru customs and into a cab before 7am. God bless port Everglades. I may not sail from port of Miami again. Easy peasy thru airport security. No wait. Could easily have made 9am flight. Would I try? Prob not. Our flight is 10am. Thanks to all who followed the blog. Freedom was a great ship and we had a great time. Crew as usual were fantastic. 10/10! Next cruise is in June on Oasis again out of FLL. Ampurp85, Lovetocruise2002, OCSC Mike and 2 others 4 1 Quote
InmyElement Posted March 23 Report Posted March 23 Thanks for taking us along! Really enjoyed your blog and had some laughs...Safe travels for the rest of your way home. We really liked Liberty, so we'll have to try Freedom. We switched it up for Jan on Allure and going to try FLL instead of MIA, hopefully we'll have the same smooth experience. MIA is just gonna keep getting worse especially with MSC World America in a couple of weeks... GatorCruiser, Ampurp85 and PPPJJ-GCVAB 2 1 Quote

The servers walk around like zombies not giving two craps about the tables. Every other area of food and beverage on the ships is fantastic and then playmaker reminds me of going out to eat in 2020. Same here, fleet wide. The only way to expedite things is to lay the entire order out the first time the server comes by. If you go through the normal process of drinks first then order food it’s going to take forever. Also, have you noticed that the cheese is never melted on the nachos? Ampurp85 Posted March 23 Report Posted March 23 Safe travels. Welcome to the D+ life. As my most sailed ship, Oasis will take the mantel in Sept, I love that Freedom has a non-smoking casino. It might be a little oddly placed but I think it will be a welcomed changed. Also, there is two types of cheese on Playmakers nachos and to me it's always been weird. The liquid one might start out hot and melty, but they add shredded cheese that's cold and doesn't melt like wtf?????????? Also, I really love how easy PE is to navigate and how close FLL is to PE. The ID/gun checkpoint can be a little weird, but it is my favorite port to sail from. OCSC Mike, WAAAYTOOO, GatorCruiser and 1 other 3 1 Quote
