Balance due issues on website

Anyone else having issues with the RC website showing accurate balances due today?

Any chance of RC honoring a screen shot of a no balance due? lol

Seriously though, I get different amounts due every time I refresh the page and all 8 invoices change randomly so I can’t figure out the pattern if there is one.

I keep getting an email telling me I have a balance due of $68.38 on one cruise in February that shows zero balance due.

When I first got it…I paid it, just to be sure. The next day the amount was refunded to my credit card.

A week later…another email…I paid it. The next day the amount was refunded to my credit card.

This kept happening…I felt like I was in the movie Groundhog Day.

I emailed Royal and they responded…assuring me my balance was paid in full and instructing me to ignore all future balance due emails for this cruise.

I keep getting them…at least once a week. I keep ignoring them. So far I’ve received fourteen…with two months to go.

Fingers crossed!🤞

I’m n that sailing and they contacted my TA saying I owed $183… my cruise had been paid in full with no balance.  Then 2 hours later….after he’d gone over my bill with them for 2 hours and he paid what they said I owed (well my credit card on file) they contacted him and said I owed more😡.
I emailed bayleys office, they contacted me jjust before Christmas, apologized, and said they’d look further into it.  The woman was going on vacation.  I hope she enjoyed it because this is a cluster____I hope they figure out.  She did say they’ll decorate my daughter’s cabin and have a cake-it’s her 21st birthday and hers is the cabin being threatened! I thought that was nice.  Still want my refund!

I think it’ll take some sort of legal action to get their attention, and finally fix it. Look what happened with Southwest Airlines recently. People need to complain to their state’s attorney general if you’re in the U.S. or ftc.gov. Clearly guests calling or writing Royal isn't working, this has been an issue for years. They demand money for services not rendered, on cruises that are already paid off. It would be interesting if that is considered fraud.

@Starrynight0154 I don’t think my case is a potential fraud issue. Just seems like a computer issue. Their computer keeps kicking out that annoying email that says I owe $68.38. I believe it has to do with an excursion I purchased. I used some OBC and paid some…then cancelled and re-booked during Black Friday deals when the price dropped.
They aren’t gaining anything because as soon as I pay it…it gets refunded back to my credit card almost immediately after it clears.

They responded quickly to my email and I’m satisfied with the answer. I have it printed out along with all the other emails, receipts and refunds.

Still…….fingers crossed.🤞

Mine says "Congratulations paid in full" and i have only paid the deposit.

I sometimes have this problem too.  For some reason, I usually owe less than I think I owe.  I track what I owe and sometimes I accept a "mystery discount."   I told customer service once and they assured me my account balance was correct.

When I reprice a cruise, sometimes the new price ends up being less than I see online.  They just say "the price changes all the time."

Occasionally I'm disappointed when I try to reprice a cruise.  The customer service rep doesn't see the price I see online so it winds up being more. I just say I don't want to reprice my cruise if I end up owing more ...  maybe they reprice it anyway.  That might account for owing more.

I think it all has something to do with "dynamic pricing."

If you go into manage my cruise from RC website, (the dropdown from the anchor on the left) the balance is there.

Thanks, AtlantaNole, for this tip!  I was wanting to pay off a cruise today so that it would go on my current CC billing cycle.  Each of our cruises for 2024 show "you don't have a balance due."  It told me this each time I checked today.  I KNOW we have balances due on each of them.  Finding this thread, and doing as you said worked for me.  Anchor icon, three "lines" symbol, manage my cruise, make a payment.  Wow.....  RC is making it challenging to send them money!  Issue with the web site still not resolved, I guess.

For those of you who have dealt with this issue (fully paid cruise but email says you have a balance), what do you suggest is the best way to handle this? Any recommendations on who to call? For us, I paid off the cruise in December a few days before Final Payment and just now received the email saying we owe $700. Thanks in advance.

I have called twice and paid once on the phone and once online to cover the "missing cost". I am 7 days out and have not received an email for 4 days now. Emails show $0 and when I click on the link it shows the $42.40 (soda package refund). The extra payment I made on the phone (which they said I needed to) has been refunded. I just decided to cancel the deluxe package (free drinks in the casino via Prime) so I will see if it posts to the cruise or refund my card. I will ask onboard as well for the 42.40 refund. I hope they don't cancel the cruise as it is a casino comp. I will post an update on the 15th once I am on the boat.

Side note, I did see the New Year's group cruise 2024-2025, which as of last week I owed $1600 shows paid in full. So yes major billing issues. #RoyalIT

It is missing for me too - however, if you use the look-up reservation feature on https://www.royalcaribbean.com/reservation/lookup it will show amounts due and allow you to make payments.  It is also showing payments due in the Royal App on my iphone.

I thought it was me from a courtesy hold converted to a booking that threw it off. 😄

Wow, just checked my cruises.  My daughers February cruise still shows balance due.  I'm still waiting to hear back from Bayley's office with an update.  I guess I'll be sending another email.  The person was back from vacation Jan 3, I wanted to give then tie to figure it out.

I cannot see what the balance due is.  Mine is booked via a travel agent.  I imagine that is why.

Side note as I ran into this the other day - even though I *know* I entered everything correctly online the payment registered on a different segment of our multi B2B (the first leg, to be specific, which I had paid off over a month ago). The CSR was able to fix it without an issue but the website does seem to swing from "no balance due" to "you still owe us the world" right now.

Problem solved.

royal did a Royal screw up.
I had done a  purchase and cancellation of an internet package during day 1 of Black Friday sales.    The reason I cancelled so quick was I realized I could use OBC so I then repurchased using OBC.
Royal, in its infinite wisdom, in late December decided to partially reimburse that original package-which was their mistake.  2 days later they called my TA for the outstanding balance-the amount they erroneously refunded me.  He provided my card for payment.
Jan 4 they did a reimbursement for “the rest of the Internet package” and I found this on my credit card statement today when I looked.  I contacted my TA and told him Royal screwed up again.   So I had him pay back the credit for “the rest of the internet” and now I have no remaining balance for my cruise next month.
these Royal people are a real Royal pain.
fingers crossed they stop trying to give me money I’m not entitled to so I don’t continue with stupid outstanding balances.
