Gilley
I’m happy about this because some smokers don’t abide by the no smoking signs in the casinos. I just hope it is enforced if they see anyone smoking in that area. RCIfan1912
OCSC Mike
I'm not trying to be negative, but if you haven't seen one yet, just be aware that the non-smoking casinos are VERY small. RCIfan1912
Matt
This is old news. The reason this site posted it is because Casino Royale sent out a newsletter mentioning it as if it were new. This happened in March: https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2023/03/31/royal-caribbean-has-quietly-converted-its-jazz-clubs-casinos OCSC Mike

No Can you get your free drinks at the bar as Prime and above when the casino is closed? No Can you smoke in the casino when the tables and slots are closed? Yes I would say then that most of the Royal Caribbean ships have a smokers' lounge with limited gambling and bar service. Ampurp85
The non-smoking casinos are much smaller in comparison to the actual casino. I don't think that is the issue, its actually the lack of machines that is the problem to me. The "regular" casino has a mixture of older, newer and in-between machines, as well as a nice selection of tables. The vibe was also different. I feel like the non-smoking casino is brighter and less hectic. I personally think the smoking casino should have been moved as you have some people who just go to the casino to smoke and not play. Gilley
Will the non-smoking casino have both slots and tables. I do like some of the older machines. Although I’m strictly slots still curious to know if there will be tables and any of those claw machines.

KWofPerth
Personally, smoking should be banned from the designated areas on the pool decks, ahead of the casinos. Admittedly this was 5 years ago on Voyager, but an entire side of the pool deck was a smoking area, so when strolling down that particular side you had to contend with the foul stench of all the smokers gathering. I've only taken one cruise since then (next is in 17 days) so it could be different nowadays for all I know. A casino is an adult venue to begin with, so let people have their vices there if they wish. Let it be a default smokers' lounge, as Last2know alluded to above. Just my 2 cents. At least top decks have open air, casino does not. That is why it should be smoke free. Last2Know and USFFrank 1

On Oasis Class ships (at least Harmony and Allure) the casino opens face to face with the dining room on deck 4 with the elevator banks in between. As a result, the hallway, dining room entrance and even the elevators end up smelling like smoke. It becomes a problem for people who just want to get some dinner or go to their rooms. jbrinkm
SpeedNoodles
I was on Harmony two weeks ago. They are small (I get it, you can't make room out of no room). But they had it SO BRIGHT. Why? It drove us out immediately. WAAAYTOOO

That plus the silence gives a very different vibe. Even though I enjoyed the experience of being able to gamble without choking on the air, I did feel like I needed to tip toe around when I bounced machines.
