Koepper
My wife and I just reached Diamond status. If she goes on a “girls cruise” with her girlfriends, will her cabin mate be leveled up to Diamond also? Follow up question, will the cabin mate keep that status going forward? Ryan79
No and of course not. How would keeping the status make any sense?? This isn’t like a divorce where she can claim maintenance of a lifestyle that she had become accustomed to! Ampurp85 and Neesa
Ampurp85
Lol, just imagine sharing status all will nilly like that. Imagine breaking the relationship up and that person getting your hard earned perks because they roomed with you that one time........at band camp. WAYNO
I know folks say no, it can't happen, and it's not supposed to happen, but not everybody has seen that memo... My Wife and I cruised recently with our adult son. The first cruise of his life, but his sea pass card definitely said Diamond. And the misunderstandings and questions continue. Royal is not known for accurate and reliable system platforms. Their technology challenges are stuff of legends. There is a difference between was is supposed to happen and what can actually occur. That doesn't make it policy. He would be wise to say nothing about it, as would you, else it could be fixed. The first rule about fight club is... Pattycruise
A family member sailed recently with 5 others. They all had emerald status, yet some had only been Gold.

If this does become a thing I am surely going to seek out super Mario and pay him to be a Cabin Mate for my next cruise! Qeyton Dude
YMMV, but the DW took her niece on her first ever cruise, and our niece had Diamond level on her card too. Perhaps Royal thought they were in a committed relationship
Cakemeister
Hmmmm. Maybe linking your reservations does something with the C&A status.
amanalo217
Cruised last month with my sister and her family. I'm diamond and roomed with one of her sons and she was with her husband and other son. They are all platinum and our reservations were linked. No status upgrade on any of their seapass cards.
