  1. I used European outlet converters on my last cruise. Worked great and gave extra outlets in the room. Here is a link to the converters I used. https://www.amazon.com/European-Adapter-International-Charging-Essentials/dp/B0B3LZ5896/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?crid=N7VKNNWN36BK&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.PlbQR5IribbhDa2yzK_ZSkaFTdyDEmV-0RpdUuAMyajXMFv_i31IaYXXdDl9ZoFIAW5Yq9T1aSU5M5tXiZCaBabVqBYoQLNB9wQ4HPTTDaK-N-qfFLbxJE_cClbKSvlXOLSg8KFZia5Cd-n3lbqW_rNhtaFR7ryD9Al41FQm54pBViCoiCzIDZhKJbgIQh8QkM8VkpSyQ5T3F5WXfU6GRw.Ix4eDvx2x1CfEN0jw5AcmP0e5sU84fSRRHOfFyiEFzw&dib_tag=se&keywords=european+travel+plug+adapter&qid=1710980777&sprefix=euro%2Caps%2C72&sr=8-3
  2. I was the cool nerd of my friends. My dad got the 5 3/4 floppy drive for me! All my friends had to use the tape recorder with their Commodore 64 and Texas Instruments computers.

  4. My family when on a Christmas cruise a few years back out of New Orleans. We stayed at the Place d’ Armes hotel. Close to everything in the historic district but in a peaceful area. I highly recommend it. https://www.placedarmes.com/
  5. My wife and I just reached Diamond status. If she goes on a “girls cruise” with her girlfriends, will her cabin mate be leveled up to Diamond also? Follow up question, will the cabin mate keep that status going forward?
  6. If you don’t want to buy a drink package, there are free options. Coffee, unsweetened tea and water are available at the restaurants. I also look to limit the high sugar drinks as a fellow controlled diabetic.
  7. I was on Enchantment two weeks ago at Bar Harbor. Royal uses multiple types of tenders. Some are lifeboats but others are hired local boats that are handicapped/scooter accessible.
  8. Yes, the cake does get delivered the first day of the sailing. I don’t remember there being a way to select a different day. I recommend you kick off the trip with a cake and speak to the host of the speciality restaurant for cake on the actual day. As you can see, I also recommend the chocolate strawberries !!!!
  9. Yes, I believe so. Every Royal Caribbean cruise I have been on has had a Texas Hold’em tournament.
  10. Same for me. The last time I saw the Royal Poker Tournament was pre-pandemic. Now there are multiple Texas Hold’em tournaments where top two player split a cash prize pool made up of the entrance fees. The nice thing is there is usually one tournament every sea day. The blinds go up very quickly however so you have to be aggressive with your play. The blinds are structured so the tournament is over within two hours.
  11. $100 is the standard entry fee for the Texas Hold’em tournaments. Prize money is from the entry fees and is usually given to the top two players. At night, you need 4 or 5 players to get a cash game going.
  12. Was on Oasis in January and the ship looked great. Was on Enchantment in May and the exterior was sad looking. Rust all over the ship. Rust also interior in the dining room along the up stairs windows. Exterior handrails also desperately needed varnish. Still had a great trip but the poor ship was in need of TLC.
  13. My Time dining you are seated where a table is available when you show up. I would recommend early dinner service. Then you will get the same table and wait staff.
  14. For the BOA credit card, yes I believe you are correct. It is 1 point for every $100 (i.e., 1% of purchases). Except for Royal Caribbean purchases which is 2% of purchases.
  15. My family and I will be with you on the January 2nd sailing. My fingers are crossed that the crew gets healthy over the next 5 days.
  16. I just made my final payment on Tuesday for my January 2nd sailing on Oasis. (Final payment was due 10/01/21.) It does look like the check-in was also pushed back. Check-in was going to be open starting 10/04/21. Now the app says check-in opens 11/18/21.
  17. I hope everyone on the Mariner test sailing today has a great trip. Have fun at the Sail Away party!!!
  18. Congratulations to the folks that were selected in the latest sweepstakes!! I am looking forward to hearing about your experiences and signing up for the next sweepstakes. I am guessing the next sweepstakes will be in October for Explorer and Navigator. Explorer of the Seas: November 7, 2021 departing from San Juan, Puerto Rico Navigator of the Seas: November 19, 2021 departing from Los Angeles, California Brilliance of the Seas: December 16, 2021 departing from Tampa, Florida Enchantment of the Seas: December 23, 2021 departing from Baltimore, Maryland Vision of the Seas: January 24, 2022 departing from Fort Lauderdale, Florida
  19. Never mind, I think I figured it out..... You only get the C&A additional entries one time. Not every time you enter the sweepstakes.
  20. OK maybe I am missing something...... Emerald C&A member gets 5 additional entries for each submission of the sweepstakes form (i.e., 1 submission + 5 additional = 6 entries). So @PG Cruisershould only have to enter 2 times to get to 12 since each entry gets 5 additional entries (2 submissions + 10 additional entries). I want to make sure I submitted the form the correct number of times. I probably will not get picked but I still can dream of a nice 6 day Oasis cruise from NJ.
