Matt Posted November 5, 2020 Author Report Posted November 5, 2020 All, this isn’t a thread for actually signing up. Just a straw poll to see how many of us would be interested in being a volunteer if the situation presented itself. USFFrank, Lovetocruise2002, beccaball and 1 other 2 1 1 Quote

Jamiepope Posted November 5, 2020 Report Posted November 5, 2020 Yes, I would volunteer to do the test cruise. My mother is booked for an April cruise and would like to make sure that it safe for her. I told her she should wait a little longer due to the uptick in Corona cases. Would like to see what measures are being taken to minimize an outbreak. Quote
Eaglelover Posted November 5, 2020 Report Posted November 5, 2020 Yes, Can you imagine a more disciplined group of folks? It may even be good for the test animals.... like me. I think they need a few of us who are over 70 (with few, if any health issues). Quote
TCortines Posted November 5, 2020 Report Posted November 5, 2020 YESSSSSS!!!!!! Please pick me! I’m an avid cruiser, fun loving and laid back! I’ve had 4 cruises canceled due to the pandemic and I’m READY TO GO NOW!!! ? Quote
AshleyDillo Posted November 5, 2020 Report Posted November 5, 2020 Absolutely. I can drive to any of the ports which would avoid potential exposure en route to the ship. I am currently working remotely and have been since March so I would be able to completely quarantine pre- and post-cruise without any issues. Probably the biggest thing that would keep me from volunteering would be if I had to arrange my own testing to be eligible. I know there will be testing at the port and I don't mind that, I just don't want to go out of my way to get tested unless I absolutely have to. Quote
Leatrice Hotchkiss Posted November 5, 2020 Report Posted November 5, 2020 Yes would love to cruise with Royal Caribbean Quote

Never been on a cruise and why not try it for the first time when introducing a safety protocol that was never been in place before. Cruise cleanliness and safety in an contained vessel on water was always a reason why I chose land first. Quote

Jennie Posted November 5, 2020 Report Posted November 5, 2020 Absolutely! I am single whose kids are grown and live in different states. I am an essential worker who has worked everyday in the public since the beginning of the pandemic. Yet, I have still traveled and been to public venues, shopping etc. Always taking precautions of course, but not allowing paranoia to consume me. My job consists of being exposed to many harmful things, so I know all too well of how to keep safe and clear of exposure. I have not been sick or exposed to the virus, I'm in good health and I could sure use a nice getaway. My family reunion cruise in September, we had to cancel back in July due to Covid obviously. So with much disappointment, family loss and sickness; I wouldn't mind taking one for the team so not only my family can feel secure in the "New Normal" of cruising hopefully next year, but so that other families can as well. Cruising is an experience that everyone interested should have a chance to do at least once. I've cruised several times before so I am well aware of how exciting and amazing it was. What better judge, then someone who can compare the "Old Cruising Experience" to now the "New Cruising Experience" and report on the difference in safety, security, cleanliness and just overall experience as we adjust to now life as we know itSo after that long winded explanation, Yes! I'd love to volunteer! Tell me your do's and dont's, needs and wants and I'm there!!!? cruisellama 1 Quote
cruisellama Posted November 5, 2020 Report Posted November 5, 2020 Sure - would be an interesting experience. Quote
jticarruthers Posted November 5, 2020 Report Posted November 5, 2020 Absolutely, I am already back to "as close to normal as possible", live in Fl, able to take time off and very interested in doing what i can to get cruising back so that i can get on a real cruise as soon as possible. Quote
Audrey Trudo Posted November 5, 2020 Report Posted November 5, 2020 I would love to be a volunteer cruise passenger. For the trial cruises. Quote
