heffy2 265
After crossing the bridge, in the name of research, we had to stop at the restaurant. The seafood chowder wasn’t as good as the stuff we tried in Portland the other day, and it definitely wasn’t worth the $15 price tag, but I was prepared for that. heffy2 265
Today is day 7 and our second sea day. I’m still surprised how well this ship handles crowds. I’m going to try and get in to We Will Rock You at 2:30, even though I have it reserved for 6:30. We’ll see how that goes. Right now, just hanging in the Pub. WAAAYTOOO 11,969
When you go in to watch WWRY, look on either side of the stage at the enclosed alcoves. That is where the band sits. I find it fascinating to watch the band, knowing that there is no conductor there with them. The conductor is actually in ANOTHER area and the band is watching him on CCTV from a screen that is facing the stage above the balcony. JLMoran and heffy2
heffy2 265
Just got to watch a bunch of guys from housekeeping and laundry play soccer at Seaplex. They’re damn good! Skigoofy, JLMoran, Big Tule and 4 others 6
heffy2 265
Good morning from a cold, gray Halifax! Hopefully the showers hold off for about 5 hours. This morning was a bit interesting with a code Alpha right in the middle of the Captains good morning message. Hopefully the guest with the medical issue is ok. Of course this delayed the clearance of the ship, which caused people to be very sultry. Lovetocruise2002 and JLMoran
monctonguy 1,807
Lots of rain here today....but very mild. I think Halifax isn't supposed to get much more than some off/on showers today. Enjoy exploring....lots to do and see in the Halifax area.... heffy2
heffy2 265
It’s a little wet, but I’ve really enjoyed walking around. We explored the Maritime Museum, which was really cool, especially the second floor with the Cunard and Titanic displays. Now we’re just walking around Grafton street. Hoping to stop at Garrisons Brewing on the way back to the ship Skigoofy, JLMoran, monctonguy and 3 others

heffy2 265
We made it to Garrison Brewing, and I sat and relaxed while my mom looked in the shops at the pier. Now we’re back aboard the ship, having a little downtime before our first Wonderland experience tonight. Happy Halloween everyone! Can you name specific places? We are looking for a donair and poutine place. Since you're a local, I would love to hear your opinion.
heffy2 265
So, just a quick update, captain just mentioned ten min ago before we departed, that around 1-3am we’ll encounter 50 knot winds and 20 foot seas until around 11 am tomorrow. I’m currently in Wonderland for the first time and am blown away! Lovetocruise2002, JLMoran, Deedeelynn and 3 others
Lovetocruise2002 11,275
What’s the plastic bag thing in the last pic? We have never encountered that one yet in Wonderland.

heffy2 265
Thank you @Matt for this blog and the podcast, it’s the only reason I’m here. This is one of my best cruises out of 27 so far! ellcee, WAAAYTOOO, JLMoran and 2 others

monctonguy 1,807
Hope its not too bad today for you...gusts of 50-60mph since yesterday here and till later today....all along the east coast I believe....
heffy2 265
Good morning from a very comfy, rocking and rolling Anthem of the Seas! If I didn’t live in the west, I’d always sail out of Cape Liberty. I LOVE how this ship handles slight seas like this. heffy2 265
Good morning! We’re in American Icon for debark breakfast. As soon as I get home I’ll fill in the missing details of our last night onboard. We have a late flight, so we’re in the last debark group. YOLO 489
@heffy2 Sorry I did not contribute to this blog. Ceil and I had a great time on this cruise though. We were mostly in the Solarium. I'll check my camera pics (not yet downloaded) to see if I have anything interesting to add here. We usually "disconnect" on our cruises and pretty much stay off-line. This is actually the first time I am seeing this. Thanks for your blog work! I wish I had been following... heffy2

I'm sure I walked by you many times! I was up there at arrival, or in the afternoon, either at the bar or in the hot tub. It was an amazing cruise!! YOLO
