I read that as "we want you to wear them but we arent going to play the police except when you come to Adventure Ocean and check your kids into the club".
I'm guessing they dont want to deal with are you a kid or not, are you vaccinated or not, etc.

Interesting.  Just about the time they get this operating they will be back up to full capacity and there won’t be any spare rooms to upgrade to !

Prices last year when they restarted were reasonable, sky high now and i havent seen a decent deal in a while.

Used to be very loyal to Royal, had a couple of experiences that changed that opinion.
Tried several other lines and in general I think they are more similar than they are different.
Still end up on Royal on most of my cruises so i certainly am not anti-Royal but i no longer go exclusively to their website when i think vacation time.
In general i look at the combination of ship features, destination and price now rather than "what does Royal have going when i have time off".

Saw something from CArnival moving to 3 days post 3/1, my guess is Royal will update their guidance "soon" but I would stick with 2 days until they do.

Sorry for your experience and I agree that anything involving international travel is not worth the hassle at the moment, i am back to normal looking at US based options but there are too many different bodies involved when you start looking at flights, transiting different countries, etc. for me to be comfortable at present.

Anybody else notice (in the manual) that CDC wants people to wear proximity bands that will notify a person if they are too close to someone else or to track/record your movements for easier contact tracing? I read 1984 recently, sounds familiar... 

With ships sailing at lower capacity the debarkation process goes much faster than "it used to".
Couple of times now we have been basically the last ones off and it was well before 9.

I don't think the pre-cruise test will go away before summer and if I'm really to be honest I don't see it going away before 2023. The CDC isn't ready to give up control and believe it or not cruise lines in the US are still walking a very tight rope with the CDC hovering over their shoulder, so it might take a few more months before that test goes away.
I think there is a far better chance of the CDC and Biden Administration dropping the pre-arrival test for vaccinated international arriving passengers coming to the US first before they even consider dropping the pre-departure test for cruises.

So when are they getting rid of the pre-cruise testing?  That's a much bigger issue to me than masking, tbh.  Not knowing if you're actually going on the cruise until two days before you leave greatly increases anxiety and doesn't let you enjoy the countdown the way you could before.

Correct me if I am wrong, it says that all kids have to wear masks while in the child program. So they are doing what the entire school system and government is doing? Making the least vulnerable mask up? If I read that right, that is awful 

So looking forward to a maskless cruise! Unfortunately, being from Canada I wasn’t able to cruise at the beginning of the restart when they were maskless. So my 3 cruises so far all included wearing masks which wasn’t the end of the world for me but I am excited to go maskless! 63 days to go

Masks are optional for fully vaxxed cruisers at all times onboard? None at shows, in promenade, activities, in hallways?

I sure hope they change that Adventure Ocean policy.  

I hope they change the negative result test 2 days before cruise.

Ultimately this will all come down to money.  What is obvious is there is a fairly large group of folks that will not be cruising until all of the testing and mask stuff go away.   Those restrictions aren't in place on land in most vacation spots, avoid the hassles.
Looking forward to see what RCL does this Friday, supposed to be heading out on the Wonder in 2 weeks, hope RCL gets its act together quickly.  We were out in September to Aruba on an 8 nighter and by day 3 the masks were definitely not a thing anymore, so it wasn't as bad as we thought it would be.  It is much easier now to get a test as no one is needing them except for vacationers.

The Vaccinated Standard of Excellence means 95% boosted.  The odds of 95% being boosted is nearly zero on an RC ship. Even on Celebrity it'll be tough

Looking forward to my first cruise on Celebrity so much more ....

IMO I think its rare that Royal is hitting any kind of limit and stopping people from booking cabins.
