Congratulations !  That sounds like a fun cruise.  I wish I could get my family to commit to something like this but they are WORSE than herding cats.
My one piece of advice is USE A TRAVEL AGENT !  A good TA will be able to keep everything linked that needs to be linked (think meals), help you decide on how to book your rooms to maximize value and avoid potential problems.  There are just sooo many details that need to be considered.  Let a TA do this.
I guess I have one more piece of advice...don't try and force everyone to do the same thing at the same time.  Just ask @Ampurp85.  Be together without being bound together.

It was just the point of it all. I remember we just had an increase about a year ago. Blessed to sail so there is that!🤑

Seriously, IDK why it's such a secret either. When we sailed Disney and Holland, we knew exactly who was getting what. It's an honest question that deserved a better response.

^^ what mike said, with the caveat being that if your final payment has passed (as it had for our february cruise), you would incur an additional charge from your TA (or royal, depending on how you booked) for the gratuities. 
also i very much appreciate the discussion and views expressed here; i do agree that the timing of this is HELLA sus especially after the announcement of more RECORD BREAKING sales for the last quarter and @Sharla’s point of reduced once a day service, etc.  (i, too, like clean towels twice a day I KNOW ITS NOT GREAT FOR THE ENVIRONMENT 😅😂) something doesn’t fully add up.
