PaulRC reacted to Atlantix2000 in Odyssey float out..
It's not the size that makes it look bad. It's the bottom of the O and S appearing to get cut off when they overlap the darker color at the bottom. It just looks like a giant mistake.

PaulRC reacted to CHRIS WONG in Good Luck Quantum Of The Seas
Good luck to all my fellow crew members who are currently on Quantum Of The Seas.
Lets prove to the world that cruising can be done in a healthy and safe way!
Hopefully it won't be too much longer before I get asked to rejoin a cruise ship, and head back to work. I'm amazed at how much love for the cruising there still is, and it's people like you that will keep this industry alive!

PaulRC got a reaction from ehw51 in Do you eat more at thanksgiving dinner or more at a dinner on a Royal Caribbean Cruise
That is a tough question to answer. In my house Thanksgiving is not "A meal" it is a day of eating. So the only way to answer that question is to compare it to a full day on the ship. Given that the answer is absolutely with doubt about it is a cruise day...

We have only had the cabanas at Barefoot but I believe they are the same size as the ones at Nellie's. If so, the cabana would have plenty of room for 6 adults. Everyone couldn't probably sit on the couches at the same time but there would be plenty of room with the loungers that they set out front. We've had 4 adults at once and there was more than enough room.

PaulRC reacted to twangster in elevator noises
The only noise that sometimes occurs is from boisterous guests entering the hallway from the elevator lobby. However the same can occur at any point along the entire hallway. Some people having a good time after a night of drinking can forget their inside voice.

I always prefer rooms near elevators.
No, not noisy at all.

PaulRC reacted to DandA in elevator noises
We had room 6668 on Harmony before the covid shutdown. I was concerned about the noises to, but we never heard a thing from the elevator lobby.

I canceled and re bought 4 things, wave jet, 20 pic photo pack , CocoCay beach club and one other and saved $72 with the BF sales. Not bad, More for the wife to spend on the ship!

PaulRC got a reaction from ehw51 in Cruise Planner Discounts
If I do make a purchase today and the price drops tomorrow when I call them to get the better price do they have to refund the old one then recharge for the new one, tying up the money twice? Has anyone just got them to do an adjustment. I know for the cruise itself they have done 2 adjustments for me.
As always
Thanks
Paul

PaulRC reacted to nate91 in 2 cruises or a suite?
Depending on which ship you're going on, I would say two cruises. On many ships the Junior Suites are just a small bit larger than the balconies, and many of the newer ships (Oasis and Quantum class) have huge balcony cabins. Unless you want a specific benefit of the Jr. Suite, such as the extra points or the bathtub, I say go two cruises!

PaulRC reacted to HeWhoWaits in 2 cruises or a suite?
At the same total cost, I would opt for two cruises. Consider back-to-back on the same ship, especially if the two weeks have different itineraries. It's a great way to do everything on the ship without cramming it all in and missing out on the opportunities to relax.

PaulRC reacted to Hagar in 2 cruises or a suite?
I have wrestled with this on my Pinnacle journey and two cruises usually won out. Hard to regret going on two adventures instead of one ?

PaulRC reacted to Lovetocruise2002 in 2 cruises or a suite?
I agree with what @nate91 said. The worth of a JS really depends on which ship you are sailing. Other than the double points and extra space, if the ship has Coastal Kitchen, it might be worth the upgrade.
There are other factors to consider as well. What type of cruiser are you? Do you enjoy time in your cabin? If so, the upgrade to a suite might also be worth it? Does the JS have an aft view (some do), if so, that might make it worthwhile to upgrade as well.
Personally for me, my work schedule really limits my cruise time. So the suite always wins out because I simply cannot squeeze in the extra cruise or two that many others can when they save by forgoing the suite.
