The Drink Package is my vaccine!!!!

This comes out as selfish I realize, but I need a few cases of "you first". I need people to sail and see they're okay...admittedly I don't know exactly what that means but I need for some time to go by to cruise. I don't think I need a vaccine to cruise though.
I don't know how life will look on a cruise. I have issues when strangers stand too close to me to begin with. I ride mass transit (not for last two months) and already know when I get back the train will feel weird and unsafe. I already can see the fights breaking out because someone coughed or sat too close.
If I need to wear a mask, sure. I don't care. I just want things somewhat back to normal or the new normal.
 

@WAAAYTOOO I am all for contact-less grocery shopping where I can go online and a real camera/droid picks my fresh fruits and veggies....plus other items. Then they all get scanned and I pick up my items in a designated area. I don't want to risk the loss of immunity by developing immunity to certain cleaning products and procedures.
As far as freestyle goes they could put a reader on the machine to scan SeaPass cards. You can use a wipe after making your selections and get dispensed a recyclable paper cup. Doesn't cost as much as a machine to disinfect a reusable mug.

Generally speaking I’m ready to cruise but having done a lot of Caribbean cruising over the past 2 years I was moving towards more unique, exotic or distant cruises. 
I am eager to get back on those exotic cruises but I suspect those won’t be offered in the initial opening of cruising.  Three and four night Bahamas for someone who has to fly to cruise just doesn’t work given the need to fly in a germ can to get there.  If I lived in Florida my outlook would be different.  

So it isn’t the ship that’s going to hinder my return to cruising but the plane ride to make the ship.  For the right cruise I’d suck it up and fly but not for a short cruise even to PDCC.  

Having grown up in grocery stores (my dad was a store manager at GIant) I can just imagine the old folks at Leisure world accidentally walking through the tunnel. 

Keeping my fingers crossed for our November sailing on the Oasis. I am really excited now as I originally had an interior room but was able to upgrade to an ocean view balcony for cheaper than my interior room. I'm guessing that cruise won't be as full as I thought now. I would think there are some good deals going for that cruise now!

Yes, you must wear the mask.  Whether or not you wear clothing is entirely up to you.   Just warn me, first if you decide to go mask-only.

Used L&S to upgrade our Southern Caribbean on Freedom from a balcony to a GS, then shifted to a Symphony Eastern Caribbean sailing!!! Basically getting a GS for HALF-PRICE!!!!
All thanks to @michelle at MEI, who is a darling.  Even though we keep changing our minds and adding new cruises, canceling them, upgrading, and using casino offers.  She's been incredible!

You know what I hope Royal is doing as we wait for cruising to resume, working EVERYDAY hours upon hours on their covid-19 plan presentation to the CDC.
Please Please Please Don't wait until the CDC gives the green light for cruising!

I wonder if they all are gonna scatter like rats when this sub tropical system comes thru South Florida tomorrow and into the Atlantic!

But seriously - I'm 58.  Not old by most standards, but my dad died at 64, and Lord knows my health ain't great,
especially having to miss racquetball for all these weeks.  My eyes seem like they're getting worse by the day.
I didn't start cruising until 2015, so I have a LOT of catching up to do.  So, my wife and I agree - we're going.
199 days until my virginal sailing on Harmony to the western Caribbean.  Oh, we're definitely going.

So it looks like they finally got around to raising the prices on almost ALL of the Cruise Planner items after I wrote my original hijack post.  Everything except the cost of the DBP on Symphony has gone up.  SOOOOOO glad I booked all (well, most) of my drink, dining and internet packages before the prices went up.

Damn, I checked yesterday and all the sale prices were still there so I left my cart. Today I get my 125% OBC in my inbox and the sale prices are gone! I seeee a correlation here...

Wait...is that 16 ounces of rum and 16 ounces of Coke, or 8 ounces of each for a total of 16 ounces?
Either way...if I could train my Google Home Mini to do that, it'd at least feel like I was on a cruise -- in part because of all the swaying.

Seriously, though, I'm not sure how much I'll use Freestyle machines on a cruise; I never had any issues getting a Coke Zero from a bartender while on my first cruise. A lot of times, I'd sit there for a bit and I'd tip extra; several of them recognized me by the end of the cruise and asked me if I wanted my standard Coke Zero.

I hope so, especially before final payment is due.
