Oh My God...you're killing me smalls. Why are you doing this to me.....I want all the foods except Chops and Jamie's, I found them lackluster on Mariner

That Star Trek charter looks so dang fun.....I mean the 80s one is also pretty rad. But I agree that this is not a sign, as conventions need to be overcapacity to make it worth it. Any cruise that features a theme or something like that has to be full to make it worth it as they are already a sort of specialized rate. Plus socializing at these types of things is number 1, so social distancing can't be involved.

My current opinion is to choose the ship you wouldn't mind being on for a while. Who knows how the ports will be....or if the itinerary will stay the same. So in this case I would recommend Oasis class because that is a city in itself to explore.

Well said.  I am continually disappointed by seeing people here allow their passion for cruising to get in the way of the reality of this virus.

Regardless if it is 68 or 77 days it is still possible for them to sail this year. I think about it this way....Canada isn't allowing ships to possible come in into port until Nov. So if the US doesn't start until October then maybe more ports will be open. More ports means that itineraries don't have to change too much. That means that Thanksgiving and Christmas cruises should be unchanged and roaring to go.

I do believe that it is possible to get better service with tips and whether you do or don't is personal preference. Yes, we pay gratuity already but.......for me I think of it like this. In comparison to say a trip to something like Disney or like a Gate1 Spain itinerary, a cruise is a much cheaper all-inclusive. The extra $100-230 I might shell out in tips for the entire cruise could be the cost of one dinner. So giving a little extra doesn't hurt me too much.

I got the last of my CP refunds today, 5 random amounts that add up correctly. They were from a cruise I L&S, I cancelled the items myself on June 15th and the refunds say June 24th even though I always check my account each day. They appears to have no structure when it comes to the refunds.

Wow I really thought people was going to get their $#!& together so they could enjoy life. I guess the CDC doesn't have any faith so........I wonder do I lose all faith and say 2020 is done or do I believe that the holidays will sail?????

So this is one of my absolute favorite vacation pictures ever. When we were in Bermuda in June 2018, we did a 2 day transportation pass which was good for bus transportation and ferry transportation around the island. (It was around $30/person). We did a little research about the different sites we could see along the bus routes, and went all over the island for 2 days. One of the afternoons, we happened to hop on the bus with a load of school children...they take the public transport to and from school. As a former teacher of 20 years, I flocked to the back of the bus to talk with all the kids. It was one of my all time favorite vacation memories ever. They swarmed when I asked if I could take a selfie with them.

Here's an idea. Since cruising has resumed in Europe, and hopefully it continues to do so, how about cruising Europe for the Holidays?  Sounds tempting to me! Loved it when we did it a couple of years ago. Sailing from one European port to another and experiencing the different ways each country celebrates the Holidays. Was a blast and all that delicious Holiday cuisine.  Note to self: pack fat jeans!! ????
