Kind of funny people being mad that their non refundable deposit is non refundable 

The Galveston Daily News is reporting that Galveston cruise lines are asking for commercial flights into Galveston's Scholes Field to support the cruise industry.  An excerpt from the article:
"As operations pick up at Royal Caribbean’s new cruise terminal, scheduled for completion at the Port of Galveston this year, Shahan expects prospects for limited commercial operations at the airport to expand.
“The cruise companies have been telling us they want commercial services to the airport,” Shahan said.
If that came to fruition, the airport likely would build a new terminal and would need to add Transportation Security Administration facilities to the building, he said."

Royal is planning to position Radiance in Galveston starting in January.  She is offering some different itineraries including a handful to Perfect Day.  If lots of people sail on these itineraries, then maybe Royal will make more of them going forward.

They tried to move us. From our deck 8 balcony room to a deck 2 interior. We begged and begged and crossed our hearts and hoped to die and swore we wouldnt leave the room. The "quarantine wing" is guarded to make sure people dont leave. 
 
all the free alcohol we want. Not sure if everyone gets this or they just feel bad that only our son is positive and we are stuck in the room with him. 

He had a high fever and started coughing. I brought tests from home. Tested him and self reported it to the cruise line. Wanted to do the right thing by reporting it and trying to make sure no one else got it from us. 

Son is ok just had a small fever! Now totally fine but still testing positive.

Thanks for the update, cannot wait for the new terminal to open and will see it this next week from the deck of Liberty as we sail past.

Wouldn’t you already have your next seapass card for the 2nd cruise?  Then you wouldn’t need to go through new cruiser process  again, right?  Seems you could disembark into the terminal as you are already “checked in” and accompany the teenager onboard.

This is what you should do. Ask for an "in transit" card once you get your SeaPass for the second leg. Then you can disembark and meet your kid and take them through the check-in process. The "in transit" card will show the port workers they don't need to check you in again.

I like to be back on the ship with plenty of time to spare. 🙂
 

I would plan to be back on ship at least an hour early. Always make sure you know ship time vs. local time so there’s no confusion. (Sometimes there is a difference.) You can always ask the staff at the gangway for clarification.

It’s close to Terminal 2, but Allure will be at Pier 10 (new RC Terminal) by the time OP sails 
 
 

Or, use a 3rd party insurance ( example Tripinsurancestore.com ).  Then the flights and cruise and any pre- or post- cruise hotels can all be covered.   When I use airline points, I still include the little bit of airline ticket taxes on the overall insurance costs.  It then covers the flights for interruption or delay, and most will also reimburse any redeposit of miles or points fee.  It also then shows the correct inclusive “trip dates”.

Received a Royal Up confirmation today that the "kids" cabin has been upgraded and is now on the same deck as ours.  In fact, they will be only four doors away.
