    Requesting a fan!
Did it for the first time last cruise, not sure if it was because we were in a Grand Suite, but the request was approved quickly. Helped for sleep noise and kept the room cool at night (I find it starts to get warm in the middle of the night).

Agree with both of yall about millenials/gen-xers.  I can only speak for myself.....but, me, at 21-22.....I was the kid coming in at 3am, drunk, loud and obnoxious.  BUT.....if someone told me to pipe down, I laughed, apologized, and drunkenly hushed everyone else till we fell asleep, or moved the party elsewhere.
As for the original post....yeah, NOW....this doesnt fly.  It happens one night.....and thats it. I dont stop escalating until the problem is gone. Hate you had to deal with it and applaud your patience, and kind nature in apologizing to them if they see this.

Call Security (or insist Guest Services does) that's their job to handle these situations. I personally wouldn't confront them directly (or recommend anyone else does either). The last thing you need is to get into a physical altercation and possibly be removed from the ship.
We had friends in our cabin to finish last call drinks (so 2 or 3 AM) on our balcony on the last night of the cruise. We weren't being 21 years old obnoxious, but talking loud and taking photos with our new friends. Our neighbors didn't appreciate the volume and Security knocked on our door. They politely asked us to lower the volume. We apologized and that was the end of it.

In the future call guest services and tell them to send security.  Don't ask them, tell them.
I had a similar issue on a recent cruise.  Upon the first call to GS, GS called their cabin and told them to be quiet.  I heard the phone ring and it got quiet for 30 seconds before they ramped it up again.  My next call to GS wasn't as polite and I directed them to send security.  Security appeared wearing body cameras to document the incident.
All you can do is to escalate your calls.  Late at night the lowly GS person probably isn't very senior.  They may not want to deal with it.  Don't let that stop you.  Ask to speak to the GSM (Guest Services Manager) .  When they hear you use their lingo like "GSM" they'll know you are not new to this game.  In the morning talk to the deck supervisor.  They themselves may or may not be in a position to do anything but the more senior staff involved the more they'll know it's heading up the chain of command.
None of them want the Hotel Director involved in a matter that should have been dealt with at a lower level but engaging the HD is the nuclear option.  If you have to go there, having engaged the deck supervisor, GS and GSM will usually work in your favor.   The ship in general doesn't want this going on, you just need to get around any junior guest services personnel that don't know or don't want to handle it.

Sailing Oasis in September out of NJ and the prices were amazing at the time especially given it's a revamped ship. This will be my third time on Oasis (2010 & 2012) and cannot wait to see all the changes. You and your kids will love it. I think everyone has given you excellent sightseeing ideas, especially @Pima1988 with the dirty water dogs...YUM!

I live upstate NY a bit and would recommend the drive if you're into that kind of stuff, Hudson Valley isn't far from NYC and is full of hiking, history (West Point, George Washington House, FDR Library, etc), shopping, vineyards, and breweries are popping up ... But, with 3 days you might want to stay in NYC.
I am also big on EWR.

Check out the live blog from @twangster, some great photos of the recent Amplification:

Surprisingly, it was the cheapest 7 day that I could find, given the criteria that I put in. I'll take it! LOL

Thanks for all the well wishes. I’m sure we will have a great time. We will be away from the cold and on a cruise.

@sk8erguy1978 Our local banks now seem to have an abundance of $1 dollar bundles since @rjac moved to New Bern and Ricks closure.??

For tips. I find it’s easier to pick up a bundle, than to go down to guest services and get change. Come in handy for porters and crew that you deem worthy of it.

You can also use them as a discount towards your cruise purchase price if you don't think you'll use all of your available points in OBC.  They're available in increments of $150 (15,000 points).  You'll save on the bottom line and be able to purchase the drink package at a more favorable rate. Same concept as @Ogilthorpe's idea, just a slightly different method.

You can redeem the RCL credit card points to add onboard credit for your upcoming sailing. Then you can book the drink package online using the OBC at the more favorable pre-cruise rate.  Note that some of the best prices I have seen recently are in effect currently for the drink package.

We start trip at 2 o’clock after work on 12/31. Will met daughter and granddaughter on January 1 and fly from Baltimore on January 2. As you can see I’m beyond excited. YOLO has special meaning to me. I have been in remission for 2 years.

Cape Liberty is an awesome terminal (much better than years prior), having checked in via app it was a quick check, through security and into seating area. Easy. There is also a parking garage on-site for a reasonable fee. Don't know much about the hotels in the area.

My first order of business is the Windjammer, it is there I'll grab a beer from the beer cart person and of course lunch too.
However, if you're looking for iFly, North Star & Specialty dining, I'd do that all first. You should be able to book iFly and North Star via the app, but if not,  iFly entrance where they can take reservations is on Deck Fifteen starboard side aft. It's right around the rock climbing wall. I am not sure if they can do North Star there for you too or not, that's also on Deck Fifteen but forward. I do not know if you can book reservations there or not.
For the restaurants, just show up to one of them and they have the ability to book you in any restaurant, no need to go to each individually.
I've sailed the Anthem 4 times, she's a great ship, enjoy!

I've cruised in September many times from NJ to Bermuda. That was even the month we picked for our wedding which if we didn't get to Bermuda - yikes! That year (2016) the seas were so calm you'd think we were docked. This year Jerry interfered with our cruise and they cut Bermuda short and sailed slowly back to NJ. It was still a great cruise.
As mentioned the ships will avoid the storms which could mean an alternate itinerary (different islands, different order, shorter or longer sailing). It's a risk sure but even in perfect weather times some travel delay can mess you up. I experienced quite a few flight delays this past year.

Yes, there is a doctor on board and yes it is expensive. You must pay all charges up front and if your insurance covers the expense (many do not) then you must file with insurance to get reimbursed. This is a major advantage to getting travel/cruise insurance to cover the cost of unexpected medical expenses.

I personally like to put on a dress for formal night, something basic or something dressy (cocktail or old bridesmaid dress), mid 30's it's about the only time we get to dress up. Hubs will put on nice pants and a nice button up, usually no blazer or tie (never quite figured that thing out, lol) I dont really care how anyone is dressed, with the major exception of flip flops and tshirts with cut off sleeves that expose male nipples or a sports bra. That's just gross and I firmly believe those people should be turned away, from all dining establishments.
