There is no cutoff point where itinerary changes can’t/won’t be announced. Essentially, if the situation dictates it, they can change it any time.   
 
That isn’t to say you should fear a change, just to set the expectation it could happen at any time. 

I am on that same sailing and having the same issue. 

46 Day to go and still unable to check in for Oct 6 Indy out of Galveston.  Website will get to check in times but be blank.  App only says come back later.
A lot of extra work and attention to do what should be simple.  That and slow cancellation credits are starting to take some of the fun out of a cruise vacation.

I've inquired recently and was told yes, the ship will take care of it.

I am really not happy with charging for casitas.  I think they should do a time limit, not all day.  I mainly use them when in port, and since a majority of people are in port I don't see the $149 charge to even be needed.  It is sad to see many things are now costing extra.  Just my opinion though.

It saddens me to see that there are fees for what was once free-on select sailings-such as North Star.
Now to see that they are considering charging for casitas (I've never seen them yet).....

I know I was in the category of "scrapping the nickels" to take my kids on a cruise.
It's now like Disney with the "pay extra to skip the lines".
Only those with money can truly enjoy the luxuries, the rest will have to settle for the leftovers.  I wish there was another way.

yes, I get  why they do it-because they can!  And I am fortunate that I can afford to take my family on a cruise every few years, so I DO count my blessings.

YOLO and double points moved up our timeframe to get to Diamond Plus by 5 years

I sorta went on a bit of a spree with some money I've had socked away, and now I can attest to the fact that YOLO booking is indeed a thing. ?
September 26, 2021: Oasis out of Cape Liberty (7 days)
December 24, 2021: Anthem out of Cape Liberty (Christmas at sea!) (7 days)
December 31, 2021: Anthem out of Cape Liberty again! (Why not be at sea to welcome in 2022?) (9 days)
UPDATED AFTER SAGE FORUM ADVICE: May 1, 2022: Serenade out of Vancouver (North to Alaska...and back...) (7 days)
All of these happen during breaks for me with school and will celebrate milestones in said schooling since I'm getting toward the final phase.
If they all go off without a hitch, I'll be Diamond for the second leg of the holiday B2B and Diamond Plus at the end of the Alaska cruise; the one on Oasis will be my first Royal cruise (not for a lack of trying over the last 18 months!). These points will apparently really stack up with the bonus and because I'm cruising solo.

My thoughts:  
 
If you truly don’t care where your room is, let them assign you. 
 
If there is any little voice in the back of your head saying, “Yea....but”, pick your room yourself. 
Disclaimer: We do guaranteed rooms as long as it’s cheaper.   

Putting that down on my list of life goals: travel so much that a yearly travel insurance policy makes more financial sense than a per trip one.

Flashbacks of the $18 DX debacle! Thank goodness Royal came back around on this one!

What frustrates me is hearing that 60% of the people who receive the block leave them behind on the ship. That number completely baffles me. I can say on the June back to back, I tried to get my block from the Loyalty and Ambassador but he told me I didn’t qualify for one until my next sailing after I cross the milestone points (which is completely wrong). I think there were some lazy Loyalty Ambassadors not distributing the blocks and letting corporate “think” people weren’t taking them.  Just my opinion.  This is one of the perks that “made Royal feel Royal,” and now it’s gone. Very sad today…

This is no different than the lunatics who go nuts in airports when their flight is cancelled. Let's not give them any more attention.

Lynne, we are also on that southern Caribbean cruise. ? We we’re talking last night and hoping it would change to Coco Cay, given the current circumstance in Grand Cayman.   We are hoping Aruba and Curaçao are still a go, but either way just want to be on the ship! ?
