I want to say the same thing, I want to say that I checked to see if they had it onboard and they did, and I compared prices onboard to what I found in each port.

Those are acceptable for your guys. In the end dress for yourself, not for others. If it's allowed by RC, others have no right telling you what to wear. If others can't enjoy their meal because people are not wearing what "they" think they should, that's on them.
    Happy cruising!

Churchill's on York St. in St. George's (a Cigar and Spirits shoppe) has it. A bottle costs over a hundred bucks. Good luck.

Google tells me there’s limited Duty Free at Heritage Wharf.

Tell him you’ll get it if you happen to see it, if not, he can book a ticket to the island of his choice. ?

First thing to know is that Bermuda isn't in the Caribbean.  It's in the Atlantic Ocean, off the coast of the Carolinas.  You have a long way to go before you get to the Caribbean.  So it may not be available there either.
Another important thing to know is that not all alcohol purchased in Bermuda is duty-free.  We were there in May, arriving Saturday and departing Sunday.  Our ship was not eligible to purchase duty-free because of our overnight into Sunday.  But if it's something your co-worker wants and this is the only way he can get it, them I'm sure he won't mind paying more.  The black rum we wanted was actually more buying it in Bermuda than buying at home, because we were not eligible for duty-free.
We did not see an alcohol store, only the Bermuda rum shack at the wharf.  The other option was a pub that sells it's own beer, in addition to other libations.  But we also didn't look for one in the port building as it wouldn't have been duty-free.

Thank you, I plan on walking or taking the stairs every time. I have lost 70 pounds on my way to my goal of 82. Anthem this year is my first cruise since losing weight and I plan to take to the stairs 99% of the time. Why not both calories and why wait for the elevators and possibly annoying passengers.
Thanks for the advice! Appreciate it.

Wear comfy shoes! :-) She's a big ship!
If you are going down floors.... take the stairs. If you are going up only a minimal number of floors... take the stairs.
Its good for you, plus you'll wait twice as long for an elevator then it will take for you to actually walk to your destination (most of the time).
Book your shows and entertainment ahead of time.
Unless they change it during the refurb.... there is a shuffle board court, behind the big screens of the aqua theater.
If you want a sweet snack to save for later, you can ask for some 'Udi's Gluten free cookies' at the promanade cafe'. They are pre packaged, and delish!! (you would never know they are gluten free). We get some everytime we walk by, and just save them for midnight snacks or to take to the beach / pool. etc.

For boarding day lunch, skip the WIndjammer and try Park Cafe or Solarium Bistro.  Central Park at night is tranquil having a cocktail and listening to the string group.  Try Johnny Rockets for breakfast at least once.  Make reservations for the shows, they are quite good.

Thank you so much guys, very interesting info. To say we are excited is an understatement. So glad she is getting that incredible makeover and coming to NJ. I don't fly, will not fly so Oasis coming here is the only way I'd be able to sail on her. Thanks again, appreciate.

The ships will typically do everything they can to maneuver around storms so long as it doesn't affect their ability to make the port times.  With that being said a lot of times with the ship moving at 22 knots and the storms moving at about the same speed (so long as they arent in the same direction) the storms usually pass by rather quickly.

We're not experts as we've only been on one Oasis Class sailing but here are a few of our Oasis-class unique favorites:
Aqua-Theater show:    we really loved that show plus you can find some little nooks by the theater that have great views
Central Park at Night:   very tranquil, we enjoyed walking through that area after dinner, listening to whatever live music they had going that night.
Solarium Bistro for breakfast/lunch instead of the Windjammer:  Less hectic and stressful than the windjammer but essentially the same food.  THere are also plenty of other food options to avoid the Windjammer crush

We had two concerns heading into our cruise that we didn't find to be true (though your results may vary):
    1) Too many people.  Yes there are a lot of people on the ship but it wasn't overwhelming other than leaving the muster drill   As there were several venues emptying into the same location, that was the only time it was claustrophobic.  15-20 minutes our of a week long trip.   The pool deck walkway can get pinched a little if there's a stroller/scooter coming the other direction but nothing awful
    2) You're disconnected from the sea:   I'm sure this is very subjective, but I really didn't feel that way.  Yes, there are a lot of internal focused venues but there's always the walkway on deck 5, the aft end of the boardwalk, and the entire upper deck.  We had gotten an ocean facing balcony based on that concern but it wasn't needed for that.  Don't get me wrong it was great to have but there were plenty of other spots to see/hear/smell the ocean.  Our favorite pool chair location was on the forward starboard section, underneath the upper walkway.  We spent many an hour with a drink and and a kindle watching the ocean go by.   With that said, that's actually one concern I have with the Amplification, I think that's the area where the slides are going.   But we'll just find a new spot for our August sailing on Oasis.

You’re in for a wonderful experience. The Oasis Class ships are wonderful and by the time you sail, she will be newly amped which is going to be great.

I know we are a long way (May 2020) from our Oasis cruise but hey I'm giddy that we are sailing on her.
What are some tips for someone that needs has sailed on a Oasis class ship? Inside tips, this to avoid or do? Where is a great place for sail away? This is just for fun because like I said I'm giddy to be sailing on Oasis and we are very far away from our sailing. Can't wait to hear what you have to say.

Thank you very much, it's been a wild ride with ups and downs.
This will be my first cruise that I'm not fat for and it's gonna be nice. Not being out of breath and feeling like crap. Now I won't mind getting dressed up for formal night and I will now. Turns out I like dressing nice now that I'm not a fatso. ?
The really funny thing is what you would think would be the opposite. I would eat less on a cruise, especially in the buffet because I thought people would be looking at the fat guy at the buffet. The truth is no one was doing that but that's what was in my head. This cruise I'm eating healthy right up to the day of the cruise and then for 5 days I do not think about what I'm eating. I'm gonna eat and have fun and the day I step off the ship, right back to my healthy eating.
    Thank you again.

Oh hey I forgot doesn't Royal Caribbean allow you to bring 12 bottles of regular size on the ship now? That might be enough for 5 days. I mean I may have to buy a bottle or two beyond that or fill up a bottle or two with ship water but I think I can get away with this cruise since it's only 5 days.

There is an Evian water bottle package for $39 (+ gratuities) for 12 one liter bottles of Evian that is delivered to your room.  I think you can also get 24 bottles for $69 (+ gratuities).   The smaller size bottled water is included with the Deluxe Beverage Package and the Refreshment Package and those are available at the bars.  But I believe you can also get the smaller size bottled water individually from the bars and have it charged to your account.  I don't know how much those cost though individually.

Thanks guys, I have confidence now. I just have to find water fountains where I can.
Do they really discourage reusable water bottles? People use the same soda cup all cruise so that makes not a lot of sense.
I'm also gonna take the stairs most of the cruise if not the whole cruise just to keep my steps up and burn extra calories.
Thanks again guys for all the answers.

I drink the ship water.  I have been on several different ships.  They make their own, and you can also buy bottled water.  Several locations on the ship offer water by the glass, self-service, and the WindJammer has flavored water.  I am told that some of the soda machines also have a water option, but I haven't tried them.  I have found water on the pool deck and the promenade, and there is water in the stateroom (bathroom faucet), which I use to take pills.   For health and safety, they don't want you filling up a used container (like a water bottle).  Instead, grab a glass, fill it up, then later transfer it to your personal container.  Someone who has actually sailed the Anthem can give you additional details about that ship, and you can check deck plans to locate restaurants.
