I don't mind the test as much as I hate the vaccine mandates. I have friends that I want to cruise with without any shots. They are more than willing to do daily tests.

I understand where you are coming from and you will get no argument out of me. I believe also that this is very close to becoming an everyday virus, just like the cold and even seasonal just like the flu.

Not looking for an argument but stating my thoughts that have been eating at me for awhile now:
So not only would I love to see the pre-cruise testing stop…how about allowing the unvaccinated back onboard?
I have never taken sides and I do not think it is my place to do so.  I am me…and nobody else.
I am vaccinated and boosted (twice) and got COVID for the first time 2 weeks ago after returning from a family vacation to Disney.  There were nine of us and only 2 did not get sick…both unvaccinated!

I think this virus is pretty close to becoming our next head cold or flu.  Some will get very sick…some will have mild symptoms…some will never get sick!  So…….why are the unvaccinated still being penalized this late in the game?
I certainly hope my thoughts here do not start a war on words…but I feel better having finally stated how I think.

When did this cruise open for bookings?
My thought is maybe they're holding back suites for a potential cancellation situation for another scheduled transatlantic.
It's odd that both the Odyssey and Anthem transatlantics for October 2023 are showing suites sold out.

Unfortunate. We need all the cruise lines to be strong so the industry overall is strong. Staffing continues to rear its ugly head.

One thing of note, Mariner was previously using terminal 1 in addition to terminal 5... it is now exclusively using terminal 5 so that should help a bit with the parking situation at terminal 1.

Grills Tiki Bar is easy walking distance to where Royal usually docks at Port Canaveral. Bonus! They open everyday at 7am.

I don’t understand why all the Kraken thirsty Blog people don’t belly up  there before a cruise.out of Canaveral? Your arrival time would no longer matter and any concern about crowds would easily be solved by literally looking across the street.

Are you guys not aware of this???

I love key lime pie and prefer it to be "tart". Usually it is if made with real key limes it will be how I like it.
I did have it this week on Wonder and it was delicious.

I don't even know where to start, but all of the reasons above and more.
    1. We like the ability to book well in advance and pay over time before the cruise. It's nice after a great vacation to not have large credit card bill or have a considerably lower bank balance.
    2. It's much less stressful than a typical land vacation. I don't have to rent a car and get us from place to place on a daily basis. Our "Hotel" takes us from place to place with spectacular views along the way.
    3. Other than the occasional specialty dining experience, we don't have to worry about shelling out money for restaurant food several times each day. And where else am I going to be able to try caviar and escargot for no additional charge?
    4. So many activities that would cost so much extra on land that are included; Entertainers, Theater shows, Flowrider, iFly Skydiving sim, the North Star, and so much more.
    5. We have been able to visit destinations that we had never even thought we would be able to see.
    6. We like being able to do "as much" or "as little" as we want. Particularly on sea days. Nothing better than having a cocktail out on the deck while the waves roll by OR while soaking in the hot tub in the Solarium.
    7. SERVICE: Sometime during the first day of each cruise, I'm reminded of just how much the crew and staff spoil us! They crew on each ship we've sailed on aims to please.
    8. The chance to "unplug".  We purposely do NOT buy internet service so we can get away from the usual noise of our daily lives and live more in the moment.
THERE'S MORE BUT THIS POST IS GETTING TOO LONG!

Octavio here, from Argentina! Started cruising back in 2006 when i was only 14 y/o! After that moment i couldnt stop.
Im currently 29 with 20 cruises done so far and 165 points, so getting really close to Diamond plus!

Did 2 cruises with my fiance since the covid restart, Odyssey (3rd sailiing right after it restarted, with an insanely low capacity) and Symphony.
Booked Oasis from Cape Liberty (October 2nd..so close yet so far) to receive my 30th birthday - couple trip. And also Harmony on new years eve (Family cruise!)
Im so glad to be here, Carla and myself love cruising and our goal is to hit Diamond plus asap, and slowly grind them Pinnacle points!

I often wonder how many "I'll never sail with..." people actually follow through with it.
When I used to fly a lot I'd often hear people berating gate agents in airports during delay events and their tirade usually ended with "I'll never fly this...".  I wondered the same thing then.
I think some people say the words but don't actually walk the walk.

It certainly will affect my booking plans.  Since I really don't know if or when we will be able to cruise again, I will not be making any new bookings unless I can get one of the few suites that allow refundable deposits...and there aren't many.  For sure no more SC bookings until I know for sure that we will be able to sail.
