We're set to sail on Harmony, November 1st. I have a sense that RCL wants to use that date going forward as an experiment and phase-in period with reduced passenger capacity as well as an opportunity to institute new health protocols.
The idea of possibly cruising again is exciting and yet scary at the same time given that we would be their "guinea pigs".

We did a transatlantic from Galveston to Civitavecchia. We had 8 days at sea. We were never bored. We absolutely loved that trip. They always have something going on and do extra activities on transatlantic sailings. My husband and I love to dance. Swing, Latin, and Ballroom. For us, this was a wonderful opportunity for us to get a lot of dancing in at a number of different venues. We were supposed to do a transatlantic in November, but unfortunately it was canceled. We lifted and shifted to October of 2021. I highly recommend transatlantic sailings!

Thinking about one or the other or both. Always wanted to say I did Tahiti and Bora Bora for the one and want to do the Atlantic where I'm not the one doing the driving...  Anyone done em both? Compare and contrast? The Atlantic one looks like several nights of just sailing. Is there enough stuff going on to keep it interesting with all that cruising time?
 
 

Yes, the new policy is to change the daily plates in the elevators every 3 hrs.  An innovative approach to cram 7 days of fun into 24 hrs.  Ingenious, though good luck trying to break even on the drink package...  ?

Last week I tried to check in. It took info but wouldn't complete. Then I got all logged in and a day later this junk...  I'm not really good with what I call "slop". I'm a boat captain myself and like things to be orderly. 
 

I'm dealing with moderately similar...  The one paying the bills should have full fcc control.  If we use her FCC for the Nov1 trip that likely wont go we're all set. Since its not likely to go.  Next years trip she would have to take off from college to join us and at that not use  but about half for that trip...  I am hoping that something goes right soon...

My 19 year old son came with me in Jan of this year on a 6 night western Caribbean.  He didn't find a lot of people his age, but still had an awesome time.

Other than the excursions we did together, I rarely saw him other than breakfast and dinner.  He would take the Cruise Planner and see what the evening's events were....then he'd make the rounds of them until he found something he was enjoyed and would stay for a while.  
He specifically enjoyed evening trivia in the lounge and music in the Schooner Bar.

One thing I got a kick out of...I was too tired to go to Quest but encouraged him to go...he ended up being a team captain.

One AM is the new 10:00 PM. I fade into sleep by the glow of my laptop...... "Turn right then left" your destination will be on your right." My Hyperhot fiancee turns off the cell phone. Our teens in the back seat wake slowly. In the rear view I see their expressions. Nearly a 1/4 mile long machine 18 stories high and over half a football field wide greets them. Each with a rolling suitcase and backpack we make our way into a giant hall. Though I have some packed everybody gets a new lanyard. Crowds are still light but coming quick. I spy a Crown And Anchor line open. I carry myself as if I'm "someone"  and we are motioned to approach. Check in lightning quick as we are carrying on, not check in.  We are barely seated in the great hall when they announce  we can board. The endless ramp grows shorter as we approach the door... We're in. A world of glitz and glamour accented with shine captivates the teens.  Long lines at the elevator as expected. Its ok. We walk to the far end of the promenade, exploring along the way, to empty elevators,. We are whisked to the high decks. We pass pools and hot tubs. Giant slides  and other attractions mesmerize the kids. We encounter the first of a zillion "washy washy" guitar duos and find a corner of Windjammer. The kids go off and explore then meet back at 1:00 PM to go move into our room. We take the left to a lower deck and walk the halls. We take the sea pass by the door and open to our balcony room. The kids and fiancee beaming... I say "nice but I wonder what this room looks like next door?" The teen girl says " Thats somebody else's room you can't go in there!". I ignore and open that door . The kids are worried that security will surely throw us off. I hand them each a key...  This is yours... They are blown away that I went deep on two. More explore We meet for muster then sail away... We watch people waving at the inlet as we press to the southeast. The promenade grows lively with the first of many parades. The kids meet us at MDR and taste their first escargot. "Rules are simple. Home when Fuel closes. Text when you are in your cabin. Sea pass has some arcade but not a lot. "  The sounds of the sea passing beneath our balcony soothes us and we drift off to sleep...... Bleep bleep bleep... the alarm sounds... I look around my land based room. It seemed so real. I close my eyes... "Soon... Soon this mess will be astern of us and what I just dreamed will again be reality". 

Well she can gamble. Casino is open to 18 year olds on cruise ships. She can go to all the bars and nightclubs just cant drink. She can go to adult nightclub that's also 18 and older. She can obviously see all the shows and entertainment. Can go to hot tubs at night I always seem to see people her age in the hot tubs at night. I mean she really can do anything people over 21 can do except for drink. Also I don't know if she wants to hang with 17 year olds but she can always try to meet them right outside of fuel and then suggest they all just go hang out somewhere.. I don't think the teens really stay in fuel anyway I think they quickly meet there and then go in groups all around the ship.. 

Update... I did call. Painfully long on hold. ... Then I got what may well be the single most enjoyable agent of all time! I mean it was service above any I have ever experienced with RCL.  Friendly, Informative,  Positive! I am hoping I get a customer survey on this one as she will get 10 marks across the board! Outstanding doesn't begin to describe it.  The one that straightened out 2 refunds and 2 fccs then handled a booking in Harmony was indeed fantastic as well. That one was exceptionally professional but today's had an effervescent  personality to just kick it up a notch. I think she talked me into a b2b but need to check school schedules for that ...

Not my field of expertise either...  So... I ask... No such thing as a dumb question if we don't know the answer... I just really want the itinerary... Coco/ Coz/ Roatan/ Costa...The kids would get their first "real cruise on a floating city"" and my Fiance would get her 7 nights of pampering and hopefully a lobster night... ?
 

First off I don't know if that is allowed. Next, do I have to pay the difference between this years rate and next years rate... Its substantial! Its a Nov 1 cruise so it happening really isn't likely. I just don't want to be the one to give up on it. One of these "extensions" will be the last. Who's to say this one isn't "THE ONE" and that my Nov 1 cruise wont be the first of the "new generation"...? 

Not my field of expertise either...  So... I ask... No such thing as a dumb question if we don't know the answer... I just really want the itinerary... Coco/ Coz/ Roatan/ Costa...The kids would get their first "real cruise on a floating city"" and my Fiance would get her 7 nights of pampering and hopefully a lobster night... ?

Both ways. Shows the info sitting in there but not really checked in. Added card to charge, checked the agreement boxes. The app says “snag” the on line doesn’t say anything. Just not locked in. I’m in Jersey with destroyed house no electric and weak cell service to retry .

I know I’m more likely to get pregnant than actually sail on November 1st on Harmony but I am a no quit kind of guy. Tried checking in a few times now.  Keep getting “we’ve hit a snag” when I get to the end of each of us. That’s trying to do it through the app. I entered all info on line for each of us. Says “view set sail pass” but nothing?

Tried checking in a few times now.  Keep getting “we’ve hit a snag” when I get to the end of each of us. That’s trying to do it through the app. I entered all info on line for each of us. Says “view set sail pass” but nothing?
