Heck, I don't even wear that stuff in normal daily life. Do I have political opinions? Sure, but I don't need to advertise them to everyone I meet.

Oh boy, this is a big one these days. I just dont understand the need to wear political clothing on a ship. All it does it serve to start arguments, or at the very least a lot of dirty looks.

Political statement clothing. Of any leaning. I like to escape politics on vacation. 🍹

If I recall correctly, I believe I bid about $250/pp.  It certainly wasn't the max amount, but was about half on their "meter" scale.
Post cruise, I REALLY enjoyed this 1 BR GS (and my wife was very surprised and excited about it)!

I originally had a balcony room on my upcoming sailing on Freedom on 1/31.  I was emailed an offer to bid on a Junior Suite or a Grand Suite.  I didn't bother with the Junior Suite, but put in a medium bid on the Grand Suite, and would have been happy whether I got it or not.  I was notified on 1/15 (16 days ahead of sailing) that my bid on the Grand Suite was accepted!  Whoohoo!!!  Never been in a suite before, so am looking forward to this!  I am keeping this a complete surprise for my wife.  She will be very surprised when we get to the room!

Currently on Freedom of the Seas (sailed 1/31/22), and the suite concierge said there are 1936 on board out of 4829 which is right at 40% of capacity.  Doesn't feel crowded at all...

Congratulations on that, you will love it. But a warning, it’s tough to go back to a balcony. We got spoiled once in a owners suite due to some odd happenings on Grandeur of the seas maiden voyage. Since then, we have always been in a JS or above. To get to Diamond, we took a cheap trip on Allure in November in a balcony, hated the room and felt so small. Will be back in a aft JS in March on Odyssey and a GS on wonder in December. I don’t think I would of felt that way if I never got the taste of the suite life.

FYI, Norwegian Cruise Line currently requires ALL guests to be completely vaccinated.  NO EXCEPTIONS!  If your children cannot be vaccinated (under 5), then they cannot cruise.  This is explicitly documented on their safe sailing website information.   I do have an upcoming NCL cruise, along with three RCL cruises, so am keeping track of ALL of these requirements.

Pre-pandemic, we had a group of 14 on Oasis, and had no problems.  They just slid about 4 tables end-to-end and made one long table for us.  I've also did this on Harmony (again, pre-pandemic) with 16 and they did the same thing.  Early seating in the MDR for both...  Wondering if the 8-pax maximum is a new covid-related requirement?

MarvinS got a reaction from KristiZ in Oasis Central Park Balcony dividers
Not sure if I'm following your question or not regarding "all of the dividers"...  We had a large group of adjacent rooms on Oasis in the Boardwalk area, and were able to have the balcony dividers opened up with no problem.  We had 5 rooms next to each other (12321, 12323, 12325, 12327, & 12329).  We just talked to the room steward, and he was easily able to open them all up, and we could walk among all 5 rooms through the balconies.  I know this is not the Central Park area, but would expect that it should be the same as the Boardwalk area.
I also remember we discovered that between two of the rooms (12321 & 12323), the opening was a little narrower than between the other rooms, and found that due to the structural design of the ship, there was extra steel framework every 4 rooms and just made for a slightly narrower opening between these two adjoining balconies.  It was still passable, but just not as wide.  Maybe this is what you were referring to in your question...

My daughter renewed her passport recently.  Filed the paperwork at the local post office on August 16th with normal routine processing and NO expediting service.  We received her new passport exactly 5 weeks later on Sept. 20th, and received her birth certificate and other official paperwork separately in the mail about 3 days later...
We were also told at the post office that it would be at least 12-16 weeks, so was pleasantly surprised when it arrived in 5 weeks!!!
