Called today regarding my refund since I had to add a name to my December reservation anyway.
My cruise was for Enchantment on March 16th. I called and cancelled on the phone on March 12th, however it appears they did not cancel my cruise when I called as according to two customer service agents my cruise was not cancelled until March 14th, AKA the day that Royal voluntarily cancelled. The representative I spoke to today confirmed that it was canceled on March 14th, so I should be receiving my Cruise planner refunds today or tomorrow, but to give them until the end of the week to show in my account.
She also said that my refund for the taxes/fees will be in the account by the end of the week, again to call on Monday if the refund isn't there.
As far as FCC, the first round of cancellations should still have the FCC today at some point.

Sit tight everyone. Maybe we will all have our refunds and FCC's by the end of the week. The good news is the current hold time is only about 10 minutes if you need to call them.

Just wanted to share that I saw from a royal Caribbean crew member on Instagram (@cassaragon) that any crew disembarking early because of the cancellations will still receive 1 months pay. This makes such a difference for crew who are supporting families at home.
Royal is really taking care of everyone as best they can and I'm so happy to see it!

Just confirmed with customer service that our sailing on vision of the seas scheduled to depart San Juan tomorrow is included in this. We arrived in San Juan yesterday. Currently changing our flights to return home tomorrow instead.
Any thoughts on whether crown and anchor points will still be awarded for cancelled cruises?

So I missed Perfect Day at CocoCay in 2019 due to Hurricane Dorian.  Now I missed it in 2020 due to COVID-19.  Hopefully I have better luck in 2021!

No, I really have no idea if you will get any C&A points or not.  I can tell you that for our shortened Feb Anthem cruise, we received all of the original 8 cruise points rather than the 5 points, which was the number of nights we actually cruised.  But we actually sailed, where you will not.  Truthfully, I’m thinking that you will not get any points for a cruise that never happened.

I wonder if grandpa has ever come back to his car in a snow storm and found his car full of snow because he didn't know his window was open?
Probably has a wicked air conditioning bill in the summer when the windows in the house are open.
Drive through restaurants must be a PITA for him.  Is the window open or not?  So confusing.
Is he a Mac IT professional because Windows seems to give him a lot of trouble.

TWO magnetic hooks with a screwdriver to hold a very heavily stuffed hanging organizer.  The screwdriver was also used to tighten a loose hinge on a bathroom cabinet door on day one.

I'm with you on the blood boiling... I'm trying so hard not to throw things at my TV. ?
In the article, the South Bend Police Department seems to be giving their all out support for this family, even initially letting them use the police facilities for the press conference until they were called out on it.
"The news conference was originally scheduled to take place at the South Bend Police Department, but was changed to the FOP Lodge after a Tribune reporter asked a family spokeswoman why the event was taking place on city property."
I'm all for supporting a grieving family but the South Bend Police Department should be careful not to involve themselves in a frivolous lawsuit such as this.

I signed up here just to comment on this story as the more I read it, the more my blood boils. I have been on three Royal cruises and have my fourth booked for next year. Also, when I was recently on Anthem, I’m guessing no one had a problem seeing the open pool deck window because no adult or child fell off the ship.
Honestly at this point I question the fanily’s motives and what type of people and parents they really are. Why do they seem to have no problem with the fact that the baby was put on a railing so high up when there were many safer ways to play with her or look out the window? Were the parents already off drinking and too preoccupied to care? Why, instead of grieving privately and getting counseling and trying to keep their family together, do they keep appearing on TV news and at press conferences? Why is their hand out for money from Royal Caribbean when Grandpa is the one who held the baby up and lost his grip?
Do I believe Grandpa intended to harm the baby? Of course not. But everyone in this family has very questionable judgment. The mom is a lawyer and can’t see a this is a fruitless lawsuit?
I think this family needs to step off and drop their lawsuit and get out of the spotlight. They’re not helping themselves. And don’t get me started on the “But it’s so HEARTLESS and MEAN to not understand the family’s SUFFERING!” opinion of so much of the public. Think critically and don’t just believe everything the media, the family, and their lawyer tell you.
I also majored in journalism and used to work at a law firm. So I know all about the Today show wanting ratings and finding the best stories possible. And while my former firm was much smaller time and didn’t really take cases of this magnitude, there was definitely talk about clients who needed to take responsibility for themselves at some point.

Does Boston not have that many sailing? I haven't really paid attention to this until now and it's surprising that there's not that many sailing out of the Port, especially during the summer/fall period.  What gives?

    Friends,
Took your advice ; at the Port by 1000hrs, we were checked in by a roving RCCL rep & were on the ship within minutes of arriving in the upstairs lounge. This sailing was packed, families everywhere as it was Thanksgiving week & all the kiddos were off but besides day 1 and that horrible drill with movie, the only time we felt the numbers were if we needed elevators, we used the stairs a lot. Side note we all showed up for the drill, suffered in silence standing with hundreds of our closest sailing friends in customer service area and then received a letter scolding us for not showing up and advising we needed to go again ( we didn't) the girl scanning our WOW bands was over whelmed & I think missed a band but I told them to check the camera we were there.  The sailing was wonderful we spent a great deal of time on our balcony in peaceful serenity.
Fantastic stateroom host, room as stated. Deck 11 we thought would be quiet inside but no, doorbell ringing was constant and the family above us were quite noisy, dragging the chairs in the "kitchen" across the floor and jumping I assume off the furniture (kids I hope) at all hours but it was their vacation too, so we just endured it vowing to stay on 17 if sailing this class again. We really LOVED all of your ideas & suggestions so again Thank you so much!
Wind Jammer too crowded never stayed Coastal Kitchen wonderful Room service okay Solarium Bistro we enjoyed frequently Izumi Hibachi too loud, too many people @ table food okay would not go back World dessert delivered to CK Night 6 upon request, very nice MDR never experienced Columbus enjoyed Grease, not so much Tony Tillman headliner entertaining 1887 & ISkate okay Fine Line amazing! CD Mike (BING BONG) enjoyable Chris AD not so much, complained about his job a lot, why do it then very off putting Again, we are so appreciative for all of your suggestions, you guys are just fantastic!!
Enjoy a Wonderful Holiday Season & many sailings to come!

I'm really hoping that (a) the Northeast / Canada / Bermuda sailings come out Monday and not later in the week, or at least that (b) Royal will extend the Cyber Monday promo through the full week so I can take advantage of it. With Freedom sailing out of my back yard, I'd love a chance to see her post-AMP. Also hoping there will be some 7-night Bermuda sailings apart from the couple Empress is doing.

I needed to use one of those computers to check into my flights at the end of my honeymoon.  They charged about $13 for an hour or two of access (don't remember the details).  The username/password was for Voom, and after dealing with my flights, I was able to use it on my cell phone to connect and browse Facebook, email, etc until it shut off.

I sailed Serenade's first sailing after her transatlantic in September, meaning they day I boarded was the ship's first arrival in an American port in months. Because of this, There were a number of inspections going on, including coast guard.
We were not delayed at all in boarding, and boarded around 11AM. The inspections seemed to be being performed amidst the guests -- I think most things that they are inspecting aren't in guest areas anyway.
I wouldn't change your arrival plans, I think it's likely you'll be allowed to board while inspections are ongoing.

Voom is the ship's wifi, and if you want the ability to go online on your personal devices you will need to pay for this. You can purchase it several says into your cruise and only pay for the days you have left, I often find this the most affordable option for ship-wide wifi.
As for the desktop computers in the Royal Online venue, I'm not sure what the cost structure of these is. I would  think that these are separate from Voom, but still carry a small charge.

She was last renovated in 2012, and doesn't appear to be scheduled for dry-dock any time soon: http://www.royalcaribbeanincentives.com/content/uploads/2018-2019-Fleet_Guide.pdf
I sailed on her last month and didn't see many signs of wear and tear though! She's a great ship!
