Royal needs to know what they are facing for each sailing.  Unvaccinated will have testing done at the terminal upon check in.  Do they need 1 tester with a handful of tests on a mobile cart or 100 testers ready to process 800 unvaccinated with a lot of space in waiting areas to keep everyone separated until results are in?
It's possible if one sailing was 98% unvaccinated they might even decide to cancel it.  I don't know that's the case but there are many decisions they need to make based on survey results.  
The trends they document over time will help with capacity decisions going forward.  
I don't think the survey will yield a faster check in time or quicker boarding for vaccinated.  

We were told at the hospital that after a positive test do not let anyone test you for 3 months because it has a good chance of being positive and freaking people out. The virus is dead and not contagious but the result gets everyone is a huff...so maybe this is possible...
But for me her actions and freak out makes me have no sympathy regardless.  Lol

As a vaccinated canadian im waiting for them to work out a better thing for our unvaccinated kids then a quarantine!

As a healthcare provider when they tell me the pt is positive and I have to dress in full PPE I assure you there is a lot of colorful language that comes with it!

We got it at 50. But that being said I would buy it at 58 because there is no way my first cruise after covid would be without the drink package! ( or any cruise haha!)

For us right now we are covered for covid related issues for travel except cruising! Becaue our gouvernment has it as a level 4 " avoid cruises" we are not covered.

I think Royal is working with, or recommending Manulife for Canadians.

I yearn for the day when even a legit positive test doesn't require heavy protocols to be put into place.

I know this is for Alaska...but it seems to be moving in the right direction! Fingers crossed they offer the same on our sailing! 

I don't like the idea of a vaccine passport where any business in day to day life can have access to my vaccination status on a whim.

But for truly optional leisure activities, I don't mind it to be a requirement. Just as long as kids aren't punished for not having the vaccine (and they are right now, unfortunately)

At first I thought about deleting the non post, but, after reading the comments, I think it's too valuable to get rid of.

I'm also not on freedom, on symphony at the end of the year. I'd be ok if it was the same on our ship ( we are vaccinated 6 year old is not). What would break my heart is if 150 CP became a vaccine only spot. Its my FAVORITE!
