Personally I would never adjust it down, I would only add more for great service as this goes to everyone not just workers in the MDR. But to each their own. Happy Cruising.

Do you have My Time Dining? If so it’s very easy. Make your reservations in the cruise planner, go to the MDR at that reserved time and let them know your room number for the reservation for a table for 2. Shouldn’t have any issues. We did MTD on our last cruise as we hate to eat with strangers, very uncomfortable, and we never had an issue with getting a table for two.

Now if you have traditional, I’m not sure if it is possible to get a table for two, I’ve never tried it. Thanks and Happy Cruising.

The new app called Royal. If your sailing is still a ways off then it won’t show up in your actual sailing. But you can go in the app and select the ship and then select an upcoming sail to view this info. Thanks

It greatly varies by cruise. I sail in Nov and it opened up for dining about a couple weeks ago. Entertainment not open yet and probably not until less than 90 days out. Drink packages and excursions etc have been open for a while say a year out. But it all depends on the specific cruise. So best advice is to just keep checking the cruise planner to see when they open up. Thanks

I have never experienced anything less than excellent food in the MDR or any of the dining venues. We have always been very appreciative of the quality of the food provided and haven’t had anything that wasn’t good or even great. Hopefully what you experienced was a one time occurrence. Happy Cruising.

Specialty restaurants that vegetarians can actually eat at to be more accommodating. Was disappointed to see menus for Symphony where there is only one restaurant, Jaimes, that has options for vegetarians. All of the other specialty restaurants don’t have any options or are very limited. Then people that travel with people that don’t eat meat or seafood could try out other places like Wonderland or CP 150. Was looking forward to trying one of these until I saw that the menu didn’t really have options for my vegetarian travel companion. Would love for this to change to how MDR is where there is a vegetarian option for each course.

Thanks for posting these. Disappointed that they are still so limited with the drink menus. I miss the old ones that had many pages especially of tropical frozen drinks to have more variety of what you can get like blue Hawaiians and lava flows. Maybe one day they would return to this ?

There used to be really great drink menus that had lots of frozen options listed. However now the menus are very limited only like 2 or 3 frozen drinks are listed. So you kind of have to know what you want to order and hopefully they will have it. But they are good ?

It’s a pina colada with flavoring swirled in like strawberry or mango. Tasty.

I would never go anytime apart from MTD. I dislike traditional dining seating especially when traveling with a small group when you are forced to share a table with strangers, which makes us very uncomfortable. MTD is great because you can select what time for each day and be flexible. And you can get a table for whatever size you need and you aren’t forced to eat with strangers.

I very much am in the area of it not being worth it. The only thing I would actually use of the benefits is the reserved seating and internet. We don’t use any of the activity type things. So 280 for two people to use internet, when we can share internet for 130 instead, isn’t worth it for me. Some people will however pay whatever to get priority boarding or reserved seating so they don’t have to wait in line. For me personally that’s not worth the extra money. If it was half the price, then I would consider it. But not for 280. That’s quite expensive for just skipping lines. But just my viewpoint.

Yes totally get it from that point. If you have younger than collage age children then yes this might make the money worth it if they would enjoy those types of activities. None of us kids in our family ever did any of them so I can’t relate, lol. But some kids do like them, so something to consider if that’s your situation. Good luck ?

I would vote for Jaimes. Can’t go wrong with a nice Italian place.
The issue with wonderland is that their menu is so limited that unless you will eat anything and have no dietary restrictions such as being a vegetarian. For example, I wanted to try wonderland because we are pretty adventurous eaters but my traveling partner is a vegetarian so she can’t eat at Wonderland because they don’t have anything on the menu for her, which is a big disappointment.

You should receive your tickets onboard if you booked the excursions through RCL. The tickets will have meeting location information on it and what time to meet.

You can. But you might be too far out to be able to book them yet. Sometimes you can’t book until maybe as late as 30 days from what I have heard.

I also agree that it really ain’t a scam at all just another program that they are offering and some might find it worth the money while others won’t depending on what they value and what they like to do. Yes I think that it really depends on what you would do on the ship. Personally we don’t use any of the flowrider, rock climbing etc activities so those features aren’t of any value to us but would be very valuable to families that would use those features. Also, the price that we are paying for the internet for two devices is a total of 133 for two devices for our cabin since we don’t need any more than that. Also, we check our bags and just carry a purse on board so that feature wouldn’t be used by us either, but certainly might for other groups that might want to carry on luggage. The breakfast also isn’t anything that I would place value on solely for us because we are fine with getting room service or eating in the buffet, but again that’s only us. So for us I can only look at the value of boarding priority and reserved seating at shows as those are the only other features that we would be receiving in addition to the internet. Therefore just for us we would have a difference of around 147 for the added benefits beyond the internet. I personally don’t feel that monetarily speaking that priority boarding and reserved seats at shows is worth an additional 147.

But it that’s just me. I would rather spend that kind of money on excursions and activities.

But families might find this advantageous depending on what they like to do.
To each their own though ?
