As was posted above, someone was seriously hurt; it could be that the chair fell into the flat position while someone was sitting in it. Fine, secure the chairs so that they don't do that again but put them upright. For me, the position is the issue, not that they're zip-tied.
Agreed, this was my problem.
And this may seem like a real 1st world problem but I am old, I'm fat and I have a bad back. Give me back support on my chairs lol- Shari, Pooch and Southern Waters

They did this to us halfway though our cruise on Anthem in September, we queried it with the room steward and where told that people where not securing the backs and so people where crashing in to the glass at their back. Really annoying as I like to have the backs upright

Fantastic guys thank you.
I'll send that form on to him to fill out but will say to the Steward as well just in case.
Thanks again -
Hey guys, just a quick question for anyone who might know...
My brother is going to join us on our latest cruise, he is diabetic and will have his pen with him, does he need to bring his own Sharps bin for disposing on the spent needles or can one be requested for his cabin?
Thanks in advance -

I'm not implying that the change isn't proper and necessary, I'm just saying that the cruise was billed as a "Holy Land" cruise, which was the whole reason we booked it. It is now a "Mediterranean Cruise" (and a rather expensive one at that...but I digress) with new stops that have virtually no connection with the Holy Land whatsoever, and that we have absolutely no interest in. This was to be a "bucket list" cruise to celebrate my 80th birthday. I've read the terms and conditions and I know that Royal Caribbean is well within their rights to modify the itinerary, and I don't dispute that. I was just asking if anyone has had any experience with this kind of situation and if Royal Caribbean did anything beyond the "fine print" to resolve the situation, e.g., offer the same cruise in the future at a deep discount (assuming I'm physically able to take advantage of it, of course!). Thanks again for all your responses, even the snarky ones.
You are assuming this conflict is going to end a) any time soon and b) leaving the area in any condition where it would be safe for a person of 80 years plus to visit?
As people above have stated, either go take the new itinerary or though your Travel Insurance and get your money backIf the original itinerary ever does get offered again there would be no offered discount and seeking one because your trip has been inconvenienced by a war is low, decent people do not seek to profit off the suffering of other people

No fee for reprogramming an old WOW band. Side note: In the past, they have been hesitant to reprogram a WOW band that has a lifeboat designation on it. The one that Dan has (and had reprogrammed) did not have a lifeboat designation on it. I have read of them reprogramming even the ones with the lifeboat designation, but I think your best chances of getting one reprogrammed would be one of the "blank" bands. Not sure what the answer would be if you brought one to be reprogrammed with a lifeboat designation on it. Good luck !!!
Ohh must check which ones we have, thanks for that

...or you can have an old one reprogrammed. Dan did this a few cruises ago....on Wonder, I think.
Ahh nice, you can still get an old one reprogrammed? I have a couple knocking about somewhere, might be handy for our next Cruise on Anthem.
Any fee for doing that do you know? -

I will say on certain ships I like the sales, On Oasis class ships I get a nice seat up in the Schooner Bar and watch the people going crazy. Good times

Nobody should ever tell another person not to voice an opinion.
Completely agree, voice up now. Its so much easier to stop a bad idea in its tracks than to reverse a bad decision thats then been made policy

Our first 2 cruises we booked though Royal, first one was grand, no issues. The second (which was our honeymoon) we encountered a couple of speedbumps that should have been easy to overcome and Royal where a disaster at attempting to sort. One of which was they didn't bother booking us any Transport to and from the airport even though was paid for and was marked on our invoices. I had to go around taxis and buses and ask if we could come with them.
Ever since then I've used a TA and its been great to have them fighting in our corner if things go wrong -
Ebay is probably your best bet or you might get lucky with some other reselling websites like Facebook market place
Had a quick search and found this one, not sure if its the right sort of the model/ornament you're looking for -
Awesome, thanks for that. I'll keep an eye on the App and see what comes up

Hey guys, been a while....
Our last cruise was supposed to be back in 2020 but then things got a little crazy. Since then our family has grown and we haven't had a chance to book a cruise until now.Date isn't until 2024 but I haven't really been paying attention to things as much as when we where active.
I was wondering if sales around Drinks Packages/Excursions/etc have seen any standard date as to when they would be on offer at a reduced price or are these sales still pretty much at the whim of RC without much Rhyme or Reason

You will be pretty much assured that anything you buy though the Cruise Planner will be cheaper than on board.
Book them at the lowest price you see and if a deal/sale appears on the cruise planner simply cancel the purchase you made previously, all your money gets refunded, and then book it again at the lower price. As to when these sales appear, you've just got to keep an eye out really

Should be fine, Independence uses swipe card rather than RFID for the Sea Pass.
So long as you don't punch though the magnetic stripe it'll be grand

Not exactly Shanghai but...
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-china-51314138As much as I'd love to extend my time on a cruise, this wouldn't be the way I'd want it to happen

now stating the cameras’ presence was not disclosed to them at boarding.
Am I reading too much in to that statement or does that sound sinister to anyone else?
If they knew about the camera, what? they would have chosen another window that a camera couldn't see?

Maybe Grandpa really thought there was glass there, because of a defect in his neuro-perception or the information stored in his brain
Would have to be a hell of a defect, he stuck his head though the opening a minute or so before holding the child up to it
If his short term memory is that bad I wouldn't let him watch over my pen, never mind a kid
