MaryCS62 got a reaction from luiiismdo in Using/Reserving MTD and dining packages
Yes -- you reserve for yourself, & have the option of adding anyone whose reservation is linked with yours. For example, my DH & I have one room, & DD's have another, but our reservations are linked, so it is easy to include or exclude them from anything in cruise planner, not just dining

@Matt has a video for just about every scenario.

MaryCS62 got a reaction from PurpleDaisy in Dining Reservations - Specialty and Coastal Kitchen
No, only CK at CK. Specialty dining - if you have a package, pick one to go to as soon as you are on board & you can make multiple reservations for any of the specialty restaurants at that one

MaryCS62 got a reaction from Heymarco in daughter turns 15.... 3 weeks late to join friends in older group can she be with them?
Yes, it is -- and like it was stated above, it's a loose group of activities that they can join in or not.

MaryCS62 got a reaction from SemperMom in Vaccine Requirements
My DD was triple vaxxed (3rd dose full Moderna, not the 1/2 dose booster) & still got it at Christmas also (likely from someone in her adult day program who wasn't vaxxed). The thing is, she has Crohn's disease & takes Humira, which is one of the drugs that decreases immune response, so we don't know how effective it was for her. She did have a mild case, for which I am very thankful, and the rest of us either didn't get it, or were subclinical, which means to me the vaccine did its job. Still prevented us from going on our Jan 9 cruise, which really sucked, because she was still positive the day before (antigen, not PCR, which is supposedly less sensitive), but she didn't end up in the hospital, which might have happened had she & the rest of us not been vaxxed.

MaryCS62 got a reaction from Mycalpal in Soda at Windjammer
I like the Freestyle machines, so I carry the cup, but have been able to get cans or glasses of soda at all locations that dispensed them. It's not a problem

MaryCS62 got a reaction from Neesa in Subjective question - Oasis class - Junior Suite v Ocean View Balcony - discuss/advise!
We are working with a TA, but the kicker is that they have to be connecting -- traveling with adult DD's, but one is disabled, with medical issues & we need to be essentially "there" in case of any issues. Can still look, though, you're right!

MaryCS62 got a reaction from Neesa in Subjective question - Oasis class - Junior Suite v Ocean View Balcony - discuss/advise!
That might be the Junior spa suite. I like the family suite -- comes with the powder room in addition to the full bath with tub. Main reason we like 2 rooms is 4 people, 3 female, so 2 bathrooms is kind of a necessity.

MaryCS62 got a reaction from Bazza in Subjective question - Oasis class - Junior Suite v Ocean View Balcony - discuss/advise!
Should be interesting for us in August. We have done JS & balcony (balcony is our minimum!), and in August, we have adjoining JS for a 9 day. We just decided to pull the trigger & make it a B2B for the next one, which is 7 days, but unfortunately the JS were sold out by then, so we'll be moving to balcony cabins. It will probably not be fun to go to smaller spaces, but on the plus side, the first one will put us at Diamond by the end, so we plan to visit C&A on our last day of the 9 night to get our Diamond privileges for the 7 night one!

Not sure if it's the same, but we did CVS for our last cruise -- 4 total, but 2 did Friday morning, 2 did Friday evening (work schedules, etc). Each had to make their own appointment, & you had to make them 1 @ a time

MaryCS62 got a reaction from FoxboroCruiser in Drink Package sale
Actually, you can check what you paid for it -- after you click on "plan my cruise", you see the blue banner that has your cruise ship & date, then a calendar icon, the shopping cart icon, & a circle with your initials -- click that circle, & one of the options is your order history. For example, for my upcoming oasis cruise, we had already selected the refreshment package because we were supposed to be diamond after our cruise this past January (couldn't take - Covid + daugher😭) and I can see how much we paid for that package, as well as the Surf & stream packages we already have. Keep in mind the total has to be divided by the number of people, then the number of days, & divided by 1.18 (to account for the 18 % gratuity), & you can figure out how much per person
Example -- final price $1000 for 2 people for a 7 day cruise. 500/person/ 7 days = $71.43/person/day = $60.53/person/day prior to gratuities.

MaryCS62 got a reaction from SPS in Gluten Free (Celiac) Dining Review - Royal Caribbean - Harmony of the Seas
DD is also celiac/gluten free, but we never thought to ask if some desserts could be made specially gf, and while she likes creme brulee, she didn't want it every night. I'm going to send her the link for this so she sees what she might be able to ask for, although we will be on Oasis and not Harmony

MaryCS62 got a reaction from ChanaC in Best options for quick breakfasts on Quantum/Quantum class ships?
We would go to Windjammer the morning before (I guess that option might depend on how many days in a row you are out early) & bring back yogurt, hard boiled eggs, bread/rolls/pastry & store in plastic bags to eat in the room for the next day if we had to be out really early. I know people say the "fridge" is really a cooler, but in an air conditioned room it keeps things cold enough for that. Don't forget napkins, plates & silverware, and make sure you leave it somewhere your room attendant won't think it's something to be cleaned up.

Thank you @Atlantix2000, @carlosalonsor, and @MaryCS62 for your assistance. I went to the cruise planner and booked 4 devices under my name and it worked perfectly.

MaryCS62 got a reaction from woodman1 in Sailing out New Jersey
As a NJ resident, I never have to fly, but have had to drive to LaGuardia when my DD, flying from Norfolk, Virginia, had to fly to LaGuardia because her flight to Newark got cancelled, and it is awful going there (& I was going early on a Saturday morning). You would be much better off flying into Newark, and making an 11am flight is certainly doable from there.

MaryCS62 got a reaction from Va4fam in Cruise Planner Question-combining reservations
You should be able to book 4 devices under 1 name -- yours -- and you will be able to give the code to the persons of your choice. There can be 4 devices that use the same code at one time, so you only need one code, and it allows you to pick one person & during check out, pick the number of devices for that person.

MaryCS62 got a reaction from em.down.the.rabbit.hole in Teen Prices on Cruise Planner
I've seen a few excursions that have child prices, usually a slight discount from the adult price. However, I'm pretty sure that discount is for younger than teenage children. For example, my cruise shows a bus tour in St Maarten, 38.99/adult, 30.99 for children, but it doesn't specify the age, & I can pick it, but it won't show the child's price because I'm not travelling with anyone that young. There is an email for shore excursions where you can ask questions, but I don't have it handy. Someone on this board probably does, & will chime in with it

MaryCS62 got a reaction from Jenny0609 in Ordering from adult menu
When my girls were little & would ask what was for dinner, our joke response was "snails on toast" 😆. The first cruise we took them on, escargot weren't available (this was several years ago, there was some kind of snail shortage). However, last time we took them, they were available, & even though they were adults, DH & I insisted they had to try the "snails on toast"!
