$65 for us too, a ridiculous $600+ for 2 people for 4 days.  I love the all inclusiveness of the DDP but no way will hubby and I drink that much!

Room keys are not tied to the drink package (although the reverse is true - the drink package is tied to your SeaPass card which is also your room key).  Your friend is in your room on your cruise reservation.  He/she can stay in his/her parents cabin but will need to get an extra room key for the parents room to access it.  BUt they will have to use their original SeaPass card (the one tied to your room) to access the drink package.  Hope that makes sense.

Sorry, female here who HATES dressing up (and all shopping in general).  Somehow I didn't get that gene.  I will wear a sundress or nice capris and a nice top.  That's as dressed as I care to get.  My husband will have a collared shirt and probably nice cargo shorts.  If there is something on the MDR menu that night we want to enjoy, we will go.  We will chew with our mouths closed, put napkins in our laps and keep our elbows off the table.  We will speak at a reasonable volume and not intrude on your meal.  Not sure why anything else should be required.

I’m on Enchantment of the Seas right now as well. I have a different perspective.
Tuesday afternoon a 600 foot tanker ran into an 80 foot fishing boat at the entrance to the Houston-Galveston Ship Channel. 1 person confirmed dead, 1 person in the hospital. The Coast Guard abandoned the search for two other missing crew members today and they are presumed dead. The crew of the Pappy’s Pride fishing boat and their families are having a horrible week, much worse than I ever hope you or I have. I’m happy to be enjoying time on a cruise ship with my family this week.
Due to this tragedy there has been NO ship traffic in or out of the ports of Houston, Galveston, or Texas City since Tuesday afternoon.  The economic impact of shutting down tanker and other ship traffic in this area is staggering.
After Enchantment waited offshore all day, the Coast Guard was gracious enough to allow her into port Wednesday afternoon as she passed within yards of the wreckage site at a very slow speed while the responders were still securing the wrecked vessel, controlling the environmental damage, and searching for two missing human beings.
After waiting all last night and all day today, Enchantment was escorted out of port this afternoon in heavy fog with two pilot boats off our bow to ensure we safely traversed the fog. I was deeply moved as we passed the crash site at a very slow speed so as not to disturb the small fleet of boats and the crane platform that were continuing the recovery operation in the channel.
Enchantment of the Seas was the ONLY ship allowed to come in or out of the area since Tuesday afternoon. Then Carnival Dream was finally allowed in this evening after she waited offshore all day. As of this moment the area remains closed to all other ship traffic. Only a few small service boats have been allowed in the area.
Royal Caribbean provided text and email updates about every two hours yesterday as we waited to learn when we could board. Enchantment’s captain provided several updates last night after we boarded, and several more updates throughout the day today. There was little information that they could provide because they had no control over the weather or the tragic situation in the Galveston Jetties, but they checked in with us regularly to let us know they were communicating with authorities and trying to get us underway. They also did not offer false hope or speculation  because they knew the situation was fluid and telling us one thing and then changing their story would have drawn much criticism.
We’re now underway to Cozumel and I’ve been having a great time, all things considered. I’ve used my cell phone as a tool to find out as much as I could about what was happening with our situation, much of which is spelled out above.
May God bless the crew of Pappy’s Pride and their families. May those who perished Rest In Peace.

On our last cruise, per advise given here, we went straight to the My Time dining room when we got on the ship. The host told us to "go pick out a table",. He then marked that table number on our dinner reservations. We had that table every night, no waiting to be seated.

Taking our grandson on his first cruise next month.  Although we COULD just use his BC, we opted to get him a passport.  I also have the Royal Caribbean form signed  by his mom and notarized as we are taking him alone.  Thinking I will also take his BC. Might be overkill but I am a worrier by nature.

I believe the special cups are for the Coke freestyle machines.  She can get a soda anywhere, no cup needed unless she uses the machine.

Got the $6.50 Soda package that others have mentioned for our 4 day Mariner Cruise.  Travelling with our grandson so won't do enough drinking to justify the Deluxe package.  We'll pay as we go.  I also got the Waterpark at Coco Cay for $24.99 each.  Is that a good price?  It's been running $29.99-31.99 until now.

But the buses are so much fun!!!   We got a three day transit pass when we were there a hundred years ago (ok it was 2002) and used the bus to get to the aquarium, Crystal Caves and back from St George (took the ferry there).  What an adventure!!!  Narrow, winding roads and Nascar drivers behind the wheel.  On the way back from St George we had a bus full of children on their way home from school. I think half of them were sitting in my lap! So friendly and curious.  I highly recommend the bus as a great way to meet and interact with the locals.

For an item to be advertised as "on sale", at some point it has to be "off sale"  i.e. full price.  In the retail world (25 years with Macys) this usually happens on Monday and/or Tuesday.
