Our recent trips into Florida have been facial recognition customs breeze through without needing the actual documents.
Yes we love that feature and no more filling out the customs form but the OP was from India and I don’t think the facial recognition works for him.

agree but what they are doing is tagging the chairs for 30 minutes so i lose my chairs despite enjoying them for 3 hours then heading to the windjammer for lunch.
It’s not exactly 30 minutes. I saw people drop off their stuff and the pool attendants didn’t come by to mark the chairs till 15 to 20 minutes later. They also didn’t take the item’s exactly 30 minutes after they marked them. Each pool area had a lot of chairs for just two pool attendants to monitor. The point is the Odyssey was attempting to fix the age old problem and I’ve got to admit…The word spread fast and there seemed to be less chair hogs on sea days three and four.

How in the heck did you clear customs without your passports after you got off the ship?

We just completed an 8-day cruise on the Odyssey and we had 4 sea days. As you can imagine, the chair hogs were out in full force but Odyssey’s staff were ready. Each pool area had at least two attendants that worked all day long…They were tagging all unoccupied chairs and removing the items if the person didn’t return in time. They were using little yellow stickies to mark the time they placed the tag, the number of chairs and they placed the tag on the chair in a location the person would not notice. The staff got lots of thanks and I only witness one upset lady…She came back three hours later and was upset her stuff was removed. Way to go Royal!!!

Think it also may be attractive to new cruisers. Let them experience a cruise at a lower price and for a shorter time...Over a weekend might even be a bigger draw.

We have never taken the ships excursion but we have walked to it and took the tram up…If I remember right, It was only about 25 bucks each. Great view, cold beer and fantastic food.

We took the local Arubus to the Palm beach and had a great time. No added taxi fair. The bus was $6.00 round trip. I highly recommend it.
If I remember right it’s bus 10 to eagle beach.

We like Eagle Beach but the renting of chairs and umbrellas are expensive. But we think its expensive at any beach you may go to. We have learned though to bring our own collapsible soft sided ice chest and buy our drinks at the port...There is a CitGo gas station right outside the port. We stop there and purchase our beverages and ice...Walk across the street and grab a cab to Eagle Beach. Sorry but we haven't snorkeled there so can't be much help on that.

Hammocks are such a great idea !! What is the best ways you’ve found to attach it on the balcony??
On older ship you can usually find holes in the beams to run your straps through but not on the newer ships. On the newer ships you need two big c-clamps to clamp to the beams. Bringing these c-clamps in your checked luggage will cause you to take a trip to the naughty room…We’ve been called there a few times. Just explain what they are for and the clamps are released along with the suitcase. We have never had them confiscated…Just a pain going down to the naughty room.

Yep, my favorite place to relax too. I've often contemplated bringing a packable hammock and getting super boogie like Virgin.
We always bring our Hammock...Even on our Alaska cruises.

If we didn't care about our room...We would jump all over that!

Not sure if we are allowed to self promote...If not we will remove but if you are into hiding ducks on your cruise, Psycho makes these cute custom duck tags https://www.etsy.com/listing/1649287714/royal-caribbean-cruise-duck-cards

I anticipate that they will be stolen, but I got some of these little magnet guys. I thought they would be fun.
The ones they used were like these.

True. The one and only time we had some OBC left it was from the credit card and it was returned to the CC.
