twangster got a reaction from Heymarco in Deparkation and Porter use
Porters are in the cruise terminal wandering around the luggage area. They usually have a baggage cart with them. Simply stop one and ask for assistance but prepare to tip them.
They are not Royal employees. They are usually local longshoremen often unionized.

That's me!
Last week I had the same on four different cruises. This latest price drop puts $100+ in my pocket over a two week period. And that's before any cruise planner price drops.
It's only one hundred dollars, but with a few more like this it'll pay for a DX on a short cruise.

twangster got a reaction from Patt Whitmore in Are there wheelchairs available for use??
From the Q&A in the above brochure:
ASSISTIVE DEVICES
Do you provide wheelchairs or scooters?
We provide complimentary wheelchairs for getting on and off the ship. If you require a wheelchair or scooter during the cruise, you can bring your own or rent one from a company that provides rentals for cruises.
Can I bring my own assistive devices with me?
Yes, you may bring and use wheelchairs, mobility scooters, walkers, canes and other assistive devices onboard our ships. Due to safety reasons, Segways® may not be used onboard.
Must I store my assistive device in my stateroom? Yes, assistive devices including mobility scooters must be stored and recharged in your stateroom so fire doors, corridors and elevator lobbies are kept clear for emergency evacuation.
Can my assistive device fit through the stateroom door?
If your assistive device is 23 inches or less, it will fit through a standard stateroom door. If your assistive device is 32 inches or less, it will fit through an accessible stateroom door.

Twenty five days until her first cruise in Haifa.
Then I'm hoping we will really get some good pictures and video from actual guests.

twangster got a reaction from Baked Alaska in Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis says he isn’t going to relax the Covid test requirement for cruises
So odd. DeSantis has no say in test cruises. That's purely a CDC thing.
The video above didn't play for me but if DeSantis is now introducing a new state test cruise requirement on the industry that's unreal.

twangster got a reaction from Tira04 in Norwegian Fjord Cruises
My Norway cruise on Jewel is mid-summer 2022 so I'm hoping over the next 16 months we've come far enough that international travel won't look like it looks today.

Seems Quantum Ultra class removed all traces of the dynamic dining concept.
One single unified dining room versus four separate unique dining rooms.

First we get Chinese junk on the shelves at Walmart and now we get Chinese junk falling from the skies.
Enough.
Employ the secret weapon to knock the space junk back into the sky...

twangster got a reaction from HBCcruiser in Five short weeks on Saturday(5/8/2021) until first cruise out of Nassau
Royal needs to step up it's plan for Grand Bahamas.
Rid itself of the CDC and VSP in one stroke.
A high speed ferry or flight from any state bypassing the various crazy governments in it's way. Our governments are too busy trying to out-stupid each other.

twangster got a reaction from HBCcruiser in Five short weeks on Saturday(5/8/2021) until first cruise out of Nassau
The CDC lost me at wear two masks.
In hindsight that should have been a red flag that cruising would never happen.
Twenty or thirty years ago it may have been a respected agency that had a purpose. Those days are over.
