Hi everyone

We are interested in booking adventure of the seas aug 16 2025 out of orlando . The itinerary is very interesting with stops at coco cay and labadee.

We have been on oasis of the seas in 2023 out of cape liberty and it was fantastic.

I know you can’t compare both but wanted to have opinions ?

traveling with children 6 and 10

food activities shows?

Also, in 2023 we booked in January for a cruise in august.

Should I track price and wait? I remember last year Black Friday deals weren’t so great.

thank you

There is no real advantage on waiting as prices will likely increase not decrease.  You can book and still track prices and if  you see a lower price, contact Royal and have it repriced.  One other suggestion is to work with a travel agent to find a group rate.  Usually these are cheaper and deposits are refundable.  We find Harr Travel to have terrific great rates as well as great service and many on this blog recommend MEI Travel.  Have fun planning your cruise.

Our first cruise ever was on Adventure of The Seas, so it has sentimental value! I loved this ship and even after sailing new, bigger ships I still think the Voyager class of ships holds up really well. Big enough to have plenty to do, but small enough get around easily.  No Sorrento's, but pizza is served aplenty at the Cafe Promenade.  Crew was wonderful. Overall, we found it to be a wonderful ship.

We have sailed on 3 Oasis class ships and just got off the Adventure.

Adventure was fine. A little limited on complimentary dining options but was more than sufficient.

Dan the cruise director was the best we have ever had on a cruise. The shows were great and the live music around the ship was excellent.

The windjammer was very large and not crowded... but tip is to head to the back where the bar is and there is much more seating.

The only downside was the casino was a bit crowded and very smokey.

My first cruise ever in 2009 was on Adventure of the Seas and that ship sunk its hooks into me and the rest is history.

Over the years since I've sailed on Adventure numerous times, it is a fantastic ship with plenty to do onboard but it also has plenty of places where you can just chill out and relax. I don't have children so i can't speak to how much fun your children will have but I do know the adults you will have fun, you will be able to relax, they have the fan favorite restaurants onboard.

I would for sure say book it because there is more to Royal Caribbean than Oasis Class and Icon Class ships.  Voyager Class (Adventure is a Voyager Class ship), Freedom Class, Quantum Class ships are all excellent choices I've sailed on all these classes, the only 2 classes of ship I haven't sailed on are Radiance and Vision Class ships.  Don't be hesitant to venture out and try a different class of ship.

Adventure was our first ship back in 2002 and we fell in love with cruising on her. We just sailed her again this past July, and we had a great time. You have to go in with the right expectations. She's older, without the bells and whistles of the big ships. There are shows, but they are not big and splashy like Oasis class or Icon Class. You have to be ok with visiting the WJ. But the crew is great, and it takes you back a bit to what many loved about cruising in the first place.

I was going to post but this post stole my thunder. Agree with everything here. Our Honeymoon was on Explorer so we also have sentimental value for the Voyager class.
