  1. Jack's Jerk Shack just down the beach was very good, but we haven't been there in a number of years. At that time there was an inflatable slide out in the water and it cost $10 for our young son to slide on for several hours.
  2. Thanks baltodave. The cigarette smoke bothers me as well.
  3. I've never played craps, but I'm thinking about playing on our next cruise. Curious if anyone knows what the minimum bet on RC tables is?
  4. The Hampton Inn in Ybor that instaGator mentioned is very nice. We've stayed there twice.
  5. We want to cruise Norway in 2025 as well, but would like to stay Amsterdam for a couple days prior the cruise. Sounds like best Celebrity cruises leave out of Southampton. Didn't really care for RC options.
  6. I've only bid twice and I won once. The first attempt was upgrade from interior to balcony on Serenade and we didn't win. The second time, I bid for Promenade view on the Independence and won. The original room was interior. I bid double the minimum plus $1. If you bid and lose, you've lost nothing. If its important to upgrade, call RC and upgrade.
  7. I was on Wonder in May. They have single deck table with 7 players.
  8. The last two times we were in Roatan, we used Rony's tours with driver Arnold. He was great both times. You can organize your own tour and he'll take you wherever you want to go. The first time we went to a local supermarket (just something we like to do), took us a high point with the ship in the background for a photo op- also local vendors with items for sell. Took us to the Rust Nail and Chocolate factory. Stopped for a couple hours in West Bay for beach time (this did cost extra for the resort- don't remember the price-wasn't expensive). We then stopped for lunch at local place high above the ship and had awesome fried shrimp. The second time he took us to the glass bottom boat (extra cost for boat). He took us to the non-touristy side of the island which was a change and also back to some of the same places on the first visit. Arnold is fantastic!
  9. Doing a Bro cruise with a friend who's never cruised. Anyone else on this cruise?
  10. I tend to be cold most of the time and my wife is the opposite. Both of us find the ships comfortable most of the time. Not sure about older ships, but i know on the Wonder, we were able to adjust the room temp ourselves.
